What is it about the Levellers that makes them so well loved
thought the world??
Is it the fact that their music has inspired a generation
of people who have begun to really appreciate
things in a completely different light, after hearing about
them.
Is it because it provides 'A warm refuge for young and disenfranchised.' A place where young and old, rich and poor can exist on the same level, a level where anyone can exist and feel wanted and accepted.
Or is it simply the fact that housewives like listening to songs like Fantasy, because they can do the ironing to it, and kids can do their homework to it?
Whatever it is, one thing is sure. The Levellers are not just a band. They are a phenomenon. A phenomenon so greatly unassuming, that has picked up the music industry by it's ears, shaken it around, played a few damn fine tunes to it and left it to get on giving column space to bands that are, frankly nowhere near anything like as good as them. Talk to anyone who cares passionately about the Levellers and you will realise that the 'aura' of the Levellers really begins to affect your whole way of thinking, and indeed your whole way of life.
Because; There is only one way of life, and that's you own.
Greetings...
