SAVAGE GARDEN ALBUM

The debut album from Savage Garden is doing huge things in the US as we speak! Currently, it is number 25, after only a few weeks in, and continues to climb the Billboard Album Charts. This is pretty remarkable, considering they have only released one single there! The guys are being hailed as the most successful Australian act in years. And the biggest talk of the US towns?? Why of course, the chic-a-cherry-cola song!

I WANT YOU CASSINGLE

Nobody, including the guys of Savage Garden, could of possibly dreamed for a more successful debut single in the US than I Want You proved to be. The single debuted at number 36, the biggest entry for an Australia act, and found it's way to Number 1 on the Top 100 Billboard Charts in a number of weeks! Still, after many weeks, the single is in the top 5.

TO THE MOON & BACK CASSINGLE

Savage Garden would be feeling some pressure after the US release of To The Moon & Back. But they shouldn't fear - I have been told that it is doing quick well, receiving good airplay. I'm not sure of it's chart position, but I'll soon post it :) One American magazine predicted that this single will be huge, proving that Savage Garden are around for a long time!

Both the album and single I Want You were released on Wednesday, 23rd April, 1997.

Europe

I Want You was released in France on Monday, 7th April, 1997. The album was released on Monday, 14th April, 1997.
