i wrote all of these about 2 years ago.
so if some of them sound a little juvenile, that's why.
*I* was a little juvenile then...
ah well.
most of it is a result of many hours of staying up late with a *ahem* goodfriend *ahem* of mine, discussing our "conspiracy theocracies", and such...so...here they are...

my aphorisms and such
...things to make you think (a little...)

--Which is better to experience for the first time--love or hate? Commitment or indifference? nothing or everything?

--The man who allows himself to appear naiive is truly the wisest man.

--Reality is mocked in our dreams; we are seduced by them to the point of "belief"--then awakened.
Such is the case with Christianity.

--The walls people build around themselves are frequently not constructed as a means of concealing their knowledge or personality, but their lack thereof.

--What is completely devoid of illusions almost always loses its charm, just as the rose which has been freed of its thorns quickly loses the intrest of those who secretly wished to be pricked.

--Solitude, at times, may be the only available escape from ourselves.

--These so-called "atheists" who attempt, in their own superficial philosophical ways (for all philosophers are, by nature, superficial) to explain Life or Death or even to disprove the existence of God or Satan are acting much more in the favor of Christianity than they are acting against it.

--Do not pity someone who is your equal, for that immediately lowers both of your statuses. Instead, reserve pity only for those above and below you, for then, they become your equals (or you theirs), and you can no longer pity them. That is, unless you pity yourself; in that case, I pity you (there, that should help).

--Those of great strength must quite often allow themselves to display weakness (covertly of course) in order to maintain such composure of themselves in the public eye.

--One can never hold another human being in lower regard than one does oneself unless that person proves worthy of hatred, for what is hate but love's alterego?
