I love NNY and Shmee in this first issue of JTHM. I like when NNY is playing with Shmee and Squee gets that ever so cute expression on his face, and says Hee!Hee! But then, of course, the best part is when NNY says, "Well F@#$ you Mr. Bear!!! You speak lies!!! Liiiies!!! Stuffed with pure venome, you vile, lint infested Bastard!!" NNY then rips the stuffing out of Shmee. It's funny(: I also like all of the creative torture devices; like the eyeballs pinned to te wall above the victim's head! Of course, this is where you first see the bunny eared television and characters such as Happy Noodle Boy and Psycho Doughboy.
ISSUE #2
This issue is where you first learn about the "Thing" behind the wall. You get an insight into why NNY kills so many people. I also like all of the "noises" that NNY hears from the people that he's captured. I especially liked the clown that said, "It wasn't water!! It was little paper bits!!" I've always hated clowns. They scare me. In this issue, Devi appears as a girl who asks NNY out on a date. As I read this, I began to wonder if Devi would actually be able to tame NNY; he seemed happy with her. But, of course, the voices that he hears from Mr. Eff and Psycho Doughboy make him as nutso as ever and he attempts to kill Devi. She, of course, beats the crap outta him and gets away. I like Devi. I guess it's cause I have a lot in common with her. I also tend to be a jerk magnet(: I respected her when she beat up NNY and got away. I didn't like her as much, though, when she went crazy and wouldn't leave her house. But, how would you be if some psycho guy tried to kill you and then stalked you?!?! HUH!?!? Yah, I thought so!!!!
ISSUE #3
This has gotta be one of my favorite issues. This is where you get to know Mr. F@#K, (a.k.a. Mr. Eff), better. He talks NNY into
going out and enjoying himself. NNY ends up stopping at a cafe where he goes on a murderous rampage!!!! It's lots of fun and the people are so whiny and pathetic! I love it!! "You bitch about equal treatment as a human being, but you and your friends laugh at me for the way I look!" i just love that line...and all of the rest! "You have cooties!! Heh..no I just kid." This is also where Todd is given the name, Squee, by NNY. I love the name Todd. Tess and Dillon are taken by NNY. And weird shit happens with the doughboys! It really freaked me out..I still dream about it sometimes(:
ISSUE #4
This issue reveals a little more about NNY's past. Like where the name "noodle boy" came from (Although you never really learn much). NNY spends a lot of time talking to nailbunny. He has Tess and Dillon captured. Pepito is first seen here! Devi is still afraid of NNY..and..without realizing it..she does great harm to him that takes part in his death.
ISSUE #5
This issue doesn't have NNY in it until the very end. It's all about Tess and a guy named Krik. It starts off with Tess and Dillon hanging from a wall. Dillon doesn't last too long though(: The "thing" from the wall comes out to play(: I love the graphics, but I miss NNY and, especially, Squee! It's a whole issue of Tess and Krik, another captured person, running from the "thing". It gets especially strange when Mr. Eff and Psycho Doughboy begin to talk to Tess and Krik. Before now you weren't sure whether or not the voices were all a part of NNY's imagination. Krik, being the jerk he is, stomps on NNY's head, killing him. But he gets his in the end:p This issue includes a very disturbing "meanwhile". It also introduces Anne Gwish; a character that I personally hate! I especially hate that they made a shirt with her on it when they could have made another Squee shirt, OR, why not a shirt with Shmee on it!?!?!?!?! Oh well, can't have everything.
ISSUE #6
This is probably my least favorite issue. It's the issue where NNY goes to Heaven. I do, though, when NNY starts to explode people's heads off with his mind(: It's so cute and playfull! I also like the flying toddler ad the pissed off nun! But i really liked the "meanwhile" in this issue because it involved Jhonen Vasquez. The devil looks kinda neat too....until he changes into a big breasted bimbo cheerleader. This issue introduces the talking Bub's Burger Boy. But..don't worry..I won't tell you what happens. It just wouldn't be right(:
ISSUE #7
Jimmy, a.k.a. MMY, shows up at the beginning of this issue. He worships NNY, wants to be just like him, and has been following NNY around. Jimmy is stupid and sick. NNY doesn't like him and especially doesn't like what Jimmy did to the girl at the mall. I like it when NNY is ripping Jimmy apart and says, "Oh look!! An orifice. How do you like being f@%ked with steel?!!" Devi shows up again. She's A LOT stronger now. I really love her here. I respect people who stick up for themselves. I especially loved it when she screamed into the phone, "If you want to kill me, JUST TRY IT!! I'll just lose my boot down your throat!!" They tell the history of the burger boy and there's more Anne Gwish....YUCK!!!!
