Chapter 11
"Well, Nick, the whole world
now knows my whole name and most
importantly
knows
that I'm going out with you so, I guess they'll just have to deal
with
it." I said with an attitude.
"Yeah, that's true. But I still can't believe her. Didn't
you say that
she
couldn't
go because she had to deal with family problems at home?"
Nick
asked.
"Yeah, something like that. She was really sad. I wish she
could've come
because
she was one of my best friends. But then she goes off and tells
everyone
on national TV, and it's like I didn't want her to go or
something
like
that!!" I screamed.
"Rachel! Chill. Everything will be ok. Our security team
will protect us
if
anything happens." Nick said as he looked into my eyes,
"I wouldn't
let
anything
happen to you..." I turned to look at him. I suddenly got
flashbacks
of the night of the concert with Mandy. It's kinda weird that
all
this was happening all at once, and especially to me.
"I need to step outside and get some fresh air." I said
as I got up from
the
bed to go onto the balcony.
"Ok. I'll be in here waiting."
After about 10 mintues of sitting outside, out of the corner of
my eye,
I
saw
one by one, all of the backstreet boys going into our hotel room,
wearing
only their swimming trunks! I quickly got up and ran inside.
"Yo, Nick, Rachel!! Get your bathing suits on, we're
going swimming!!!
AJ
yelled. I saw Nick walk towards Brian, and they said something to
each
other,
and then they both looked over at me. I kind of blushed, but
looked
down
so they wouldn't see. I was getting my bikini out of my duffel
bag,
and
changed in the bathroom.
"So Nick, how are things?" Kevin asked.
"You mean with Rachel? Oh, man, I love her so much. She's
everything to
me,
and I'm hoping that she feels the same way with me." Nick
said with a
smile.
"That's good. Well, then, let's get going!" Howie
interrupted.
"Nick, you wait here for Rachel. We'll be waiting for you at
the pool."
Brian
said.
I stepped out of the bathroom wearing only my brand new bikini. I
was so
nervous!
When I opened the door. Nick was turned around gathering up our
towels,
and he was already changed. He looked so good! Then he turned
around.
I caught him staring at my chest, and then I felt myself blush.
"Nick!!! Don't think I can't see what you're staring at!!"
I shouted.
"Well, I, uh, nevermind, let's get going."
Nick opened up the doors to the pool room, and he checked in with
the
security
for me. We found the boys, in the pool splashing each other, and
rough
housing. Nick and I sat our stuff down on a lawn chair.
"Nick, I'm just going to sit on the edge of the pool for a
little while
to
get
used to it." I said as I sat down on the edge, barely
sticking my
feet
in.
I heard somebody get up from behind me. I turned around to see
Nick
running
to push me in!! I pulled him in by the wrists from behind me. We
were
messin' around for a little while and suddenly heard
shouting from
across
the room. I got out of the pool, grabbing a towel to see what was
the
matter.
"What seems to be the problem?" I asked the security
guard.
"Well, the pool has been reserved for you and the guys,
and this girl
is
trying
to get in." The security guard said.
I turned to watch the girl arguing with another guard. I
looked at Nick
and
made a gesture for him to come over to us. The girl turned around,
and
it
took me a little while to recognize her. I pulled her aside.
"Megan? Is that you? From Myers?" I asked her.
"Oh my god, Rachel!!! I can't believe it!!!" Megan
shouted, "Don't you
go
out
with Nick Carter? It has been going around for a long time now!"
As
soon
as she said that Nick walked toward us.
"He- he's here?!" Megan said.
"Yeah, that's why it's reserved!"
Nick interrupted. "Hey Rachel, what's going on?" He
asked. I looked at
Megan,
who was looking very, very nervous.
"Hey Nick. This is my friend that I haven't seen since
Middle School.
Her
name
is Megan Wilkins." I said as I turned to see her blushing.
"Oh, hi Megan!" Nick said with a smile.
"Um.. hi." Megan said as she turned bright red.
"Exuse me, but will you please let this girl in, its her
cousin." Nick
lied
to the security guard.
"Yes sir." He stepped aside to let her in. Megan
gave me a hug and set
her
things down.
"Let me introduce you to the guys." Nick yelled
at the guys to come
over
to
us. Brian came over first.
"Hey Nick, what's up?" Brian asked.
"This is Rachel's friend Megan from Kentucky." Nick
answered.
"Hi Megan, I'm Brian. B-rok for short." He laughed.
"Hi Brian." Megan said.
"Wow, you can really tell that you are from Kentucky, just
by the way
you
talk!"
Brian said.
"Oh, shut up." Megan said playfully.
"And this is Kevin."
"Hi Kevin."
"Hey Megan. I hear you are from Louisville. How is it there?
I haven't
been
there in a long time, for sight-seeing, just for the tour."
"Oh, it's the same boring old place, just because I've lived
there my
whole
life. I came to Washington to visit my aunt, but I decided to
stay
for
a little while because I really like it here."
"And here is Howie."
"Hey Megan, what's up?" Howie asked her.
"Nothing." Megan said.
"So, Megan, who is your favorite bsb?" I asked, "Is
it still AJ?" I
asked
and
started laughing.
"Um, Rachel, can I see you for a sec?" Megan asked.
"Yeah." I replied. She pulled me aside.
"What the hell are you doing? You embarassed the hell out of
me!" Megan
shouted.
"So what? They are used to being flattered!" I said.
"Well, nevermind, just don't do that again!" We
walked back over to the
group.
AJ was finally there, and Megan was walking behind me, trying not
to
blush
in front of him.
"Hey guys. And Megan, here is your favorite, AJ McLean."
Nick said.
"Hey Megan." I saw him check her out, as he gently
kissed her hand.
After
all,
Megan along with me, got voted Ms. Mustang back in Middle School.
She
had
long brown hair, and brown eyes.
AJ took her to a table and started a conversation with her.
