Mike Batt's New Album
The album titled Philharmania was put out in November
1998, offers 14 well known rock songs like Paint It Black sung by Marc
Almond, Nights In white Satin by Justin Hayward,
Because The Night by Kim Wild, and Bright Eyes by
Mike Batt, of course. The band contains Henry Spinetti on drums, Ray Cooper
on percussion, Chris and Mitch Dalton on
guitars, Tim Harris on bass and Mike Batt on piano
plus The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

NB: Reissued on CD (Repertoire REP 4474-WY) 1994 with six bonus tracks.
This was a pop-orientated album inspired by Roger Glover's Butterfly
Ball project. It was stage-managed by Eddie Hardin and featured a plethora
of guest musicians, including Tony Ashton, David
Coverdale, Mike D'Abo, Ray Fenwick, Jon Lord and Henry Spinetti.
