In 1971, Walt joins the new combo Mick Abrahams Band, formed by this great, veteran guitarist:

In 1972, they augment their lineup with another great adquisition, Jack Lancaster:
They parted ways in 1973, when Abrahams and Lancaster reformed Blodwyn Pig. Soon after, he started collaborating with If, in the album Not Just Another Bunch Of Pretty Faces. After a while, he finally joined full time to the band, substituting bassist Mike Tomich.Mick Abrahams (vocals, guitar)
