Dee'z Poetry

OHMIGOSH! Dee finally got this page started! I have skillz in many areas and one being poetry. These are just a few poems I've made in the past 5 years. It may seem like I'm a pessimist but I'm not (well not really). Remember: "A pessimist is someone who looks both ways, on a one way street." Enjoy!

This first poem is for all my frenz who are graduating this year. Hey all, we made it!

MILLENIUM FAREWELL

DEDICATED TO THE GRADUATING CLASS OF 2000

These long days
We never thought would end
The times we shared
With all our friends

In these halls
Full of memories
Will be left here
Because now we're free

To do all
We longed to do
Freedom
Could this be true?

But wait!
We leave some things behind
Precious things
We may never find

This second home
And friends so true
The ones' who were
Always there for you

Memories will be
Tucked away
And saved up
For a rainy day

What is this
In mine eyes?
Tears of joy?
Or sad good-byes?

DT our life
Where we all belonged
Grads of 2000
Take care and so long

This poem was inspired by a tragic death that shouldn't have happened, to someone we all knew. RIP, bro.

Life is Just Too Short
Dedicated to Connor McCready
Rest in Peace

Once awake and full of life
You'd never think that this could happen
Inside, like you were hit in the heart, with a jagged knife
Just him around could keep you laughin'

No one had ever thought he could
So young, So strong
If he knew what was to happen, I don't think he would
Just the thought of him gone, is wrong

No, I won't believe it
It's not true
Not even the slightest bit
But in the end you knew

I didn't know him well enough
But I feel for all his friends
On his family and friends this must be rough
All my love and support I send

It's like a brand new ship sinking, in it's port
Fulfill your dreams
Because life is just too short

In our hearts he will be, for eternity

This one, was inspired by a misunderstanding between friends.

Complications

Life is full of so many complications
So many things to take into consideration
Like will your friends stand beside you
Will they stay true?
Or will they go astray,
And betray?
So many things to go on in life
Some things sharper than a blade of a knife
These things are tests you see
To see how strong you are and can be
As friends come and go
You've got to know
I will always be a true friend
Until the end
So no matter how many disputes we may go through
Just remember I will always forgive you
This poem comes from the heart
And I hope you realize what your friendship means to me
I hope you'll forgive me too
So things can be like they were in the start
