Melanie Biography

On March 25th of 1975, the world's most beautiful baby was borned. Her name is Melanie Ruth Blatt. Melanie is half English and half French, thanks to her mum. She is fluent in both languages. Around the age of 11 or 12, her only sister, Jasmine, was borned. That was Melanie's earliest memory. Melanie is very close to her family. As a child she lived in a small flat, in which she had to share a room with her sis.
     Mel's primary dream was to become a dancer. She went to the Sylvia Young Theatre School to persue this dream. There she met soon-to-be best mate, Nicole Appleton. It was at this school where Mel's self-confidence dropped. She was never picked to audition mainly because she had dark hair and dark eyes. They made her feel unwanted and not so pretty. If you ask me, her dark hair and beautiful hazel eyes makes her the most beautiful person in the world. Although one good thing did come out of that school. I believe it was there that one of her dance teachers discovered that her back was not so straight. She had had scholiosis, and she needed surgeory. She was only 13 at the time. All the doctors kept telling her that she could end up paralysed. Her mum moved the family back to France to have her operation done. She came out of that operation with three metal rods in her back, a big nasty scar, but she was 100% fine.
     The Blatts eventually moved back to England. Mel soon met up with Shaznay Lewis. They formed a band with one other person. The band was called All Saints 1.9.7.5. They got a record deal, but they soon dropped them. Simone left and again it was just Mel and Shaz. Then, Mel met up with old pal Nicole Appleton and her sister Natalie. They formed the group that is called All Saints. Maybe you've heard of them?
     While attending a movie premiere party, Mel met the man of her dreams. His name is Stuart Zender. At the time he was in the group Jamiroquai, but he's no longer with them. When the party was over Stuart offered Mel a ride home. When they got there, she invited him in. They watched a movie and ended falling asleep with each other. The next morning he met the whole family because at the time, she still lived with her parents.    They've been together ever since. Three months into their relationship, Mel got pregnant. A few weeks later Stu asked Mel to marry him. She happily accepted. Now, he did this out of love, not obligation. Instead of getting married right away, they decided to wait until their baby would be born and be old enough to actually take part in the ceremony. Sources say that they're already married, but it has yet to be confirmed. Man, what a lucky guy!!!!
     On November 20, 1998, Lily Ella Blatt Zender was born. I'm not quite sure whose last name she has so I just said both. She weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces. I must say, after her mum, she's just the cutest baby ever! She was born by a caesarian. Her name was given by her mum, which she thought of during the middle of the night. Lily, after the first flowers Stu gave Mel, and Ella, after the great singer Ella Fitzgerald.
    Mel now lives with Stuart in Lily in London. They're very happy, and who can blame them? Best of luck to them in the future.
