The mullet is world renowned for its short at the front, long at the back approach. This unique style coupled with some appalling hairdressing has led to the mullet being regarded as the mid-west America regional symbol. Go to any monster truck rally there and be overrun with mullets and the female variety, fullets.

Here's a very scary picture of spasm themselves in the 80's. Note the poor attempt at a mullet by all three members and their guitar designs. Sam Mowbray's hair has never recovered from the electric shock seen below at the disastrous Madison Square Garden gig June 1980.
