growing up, I lived..., I remember day after day I watched my dad... when he was a
real young man, it seems like the things that were the best about him, the things that
mattered the most to him, somehow he either let them slip away or they got beat out of
him every day, as the world does to you. And there was a point to this next song, he
forgot that... This next song by Woody Guthrie is called "This Land Is Your Land". He
forgot that you gotta, you gotta fight for that title, that nobody's gonna ever give you
that, never. And every day people are gonna be trying to take it away from you, and
every day you gotta fight for it. So this is a fightin' song, for you in the New Year.
