(AJ on the BSB being virgins) I'm not. I'm pretty sure Kevin isn't. He's 27 years old. Myself, Kevin, Howie and Brian are not. I'm pretty sure Nick is not, but you never know.

Dreams. If you have one and want to succeed, just don't give up. That's how we got where we are today. We kept striving and working and never give up.

Hahaha! You don't know how many times I've gotten that, but I guess I take it as a kind of compliment. It's weird, though, cuz I'm my own individual person and I try to make a statement, you know? I'd rather people said, “That's not Leo, that's Nick Carter.” It's a compliment, but not one I like. (On people saying he looks like Leonardo DiCaprio)

Hooo! Um, I don't think so too much, um, ah, maybe a few here and there, but, um, hey, I don't know—yeah, we do, basically, sometimes. (Do boy-bands get any mail from male admirers?)

I am still very young and I have lots of time for love. The day I find the girl of my dreams I would spoil her rotten.

I am very strict on how many hours I get. I actually panic like when it is under 8 hours. When we do a long show and I have an early wake-up call, I'm like, “Oh my God! They're cutting into my hours!” (About sleep)

I kinda did my hair more sophisticated. I kind of sick of that old blond parted down the middle kinda rubbish.

I love video games, so I take my Play Station. I love Mortal Kombat and I love the football games. I beat Brian all the time.

I'm not quite as grown up as I could be. Whenever I get the chance to hang out with my family, I head straight for my little brother Aaron's room to play with all his toys.

I remember that playing war and going out and hiding in the woods was one of my favorite things to do. You know, I'm still young and I still feel the same way. Hey, I'm going to do that when I get home!

I take the mickey out of Howie because it takes so long for him to do everything. And Kevin, cuz he's the oldest—if he doesn't laugh with us, we say “You're too much of an old man to understand our jokes.”

I think everyone has a dream they want to fulfill in life and I think this is our dream. We wanted to make it happen and that's what we did. And we enjoy every minute of it and take every day like it's our last.

I used to stand on a tree stump in our back garden and sing, pretending the flowers were my audience. One day my mom caught me and enrolled me in singing lessons right away.

I've been blond for a while now and I thought about keeping it that way. Actually, I'm not this blond; it's a bit darker. But I like dying my hair blond…

My family used to call me Charlie Brown cuz I had a big round head and no hair. There's still baby pictures on display at home, which is a bit embarrassing. My mom's even got the family album out when a girl's been round and gone, “Here's a picture of Nick as a baby without any clothes on!”

Nobody's going anywhere. I'm cool where I'm at. We've got a lot more things to do. We can do a New Edition thing in the future sometime by doing our own solo albums, but we always want to be a group.

One time we did a photo shoot with some European magazines, and they made us dress in costumes, like Halloween costumes, but they were really, really corny. There was one that Brian picked out, a Batman outfit, and we called him Rat Boy because his ears were pointing way out.

One time we did a show with [Hanson]. I don't know whether they were busy or whatever but, well, I was brought up to be nice to everyone.

Sometimes [people] do get the wrong impression, cuz all they see is the young, blond boy thing, but it makes me want to show them what I'm really like even more. And I think that's what the Backstreet Boys is about—being ourselves. There are times where you're out and guys got something to say to you, but you just take it all with a grain of salt.

The main reason I had it cut was because the fans used to grab it! I was sure I was going to end up with bald patches all over my head! (About his hair)

The number one fear I have, even though I'm a scuba diver and I've had a license for a long time…I could never stand sharks.

We haven't been home for Thanksgiving for three years… Last year we were staying in Britain and it was really great, but there's nothing like homemade pumpkin pie!

We knew that was something that was going to come with the territory. But I also think we're big hams. We love the attention.

We walk on the stage and see the fans it's a total adrenaline rush. I love it. Um, as we say it's a natural high. You know none of us do drugs, none of us do anything bad so we use this as our natural high.

When I go to the mall I want to look inconspicuous and I don't want to be noticed. But AJ, he'll go with cutoff sleeves so all his tattoos are showing. He'll be wearing our merchandise. And the funniest thing is you'll be standing with him and he'll go, “Yo, Nick what time are we going to the studio? When are we doing MTV tonight?”
