Becoming
a Bitch - from the first and one of the best 59 Donuts shows
- the Spiral on March 1, 1998.
A day in history! This is one of the best versions of
the song ever! It features
one of Keith's coolest solos, a long, amazing harmonica solo, and even
a
solo from Henry! It's medlied with "Hang on Sloopy"
and "Summer Lovin'" (from
Grease).

be large but it's worth it)
Science
Class - this
version (live at the Spiral on April 19, 1998) features plenty of wah-wah
from Keith. It
is 59 Donuts' ska song, and has become a cult favourite among
fans. Listen for the rockin' bass line.

Phone
Girl -
one of 59 Donuts' best known numbers, it was the first song they played
live together.
And that version is presented here, with an intro from the 4/19/98
show.
In the recording here there's a skip towards the beginning...sorry.

Karl's
Untitled - this song's name has
yet to be revealed by Karl. So far it has gone under the
working
titles of "Beans", "Drugs", and "Ecstasy".
It has been called Tom Petty-ish
by fans, though Karl denies any similarities. What's so cool
about this
recording? Karl plays guitar while Henry whacks
out funky bass lines!

All
My Loving - another rare opportunity! For
one, you get to hear Karl and Henry switch places
yet again, plus you get to hear 59 Donuts butcher a Beatles classic! Just
kidding, it's not that bad....listen for the very touching intro. We
spread
the news of Linda's death to about 15 people who didn't know. Hear
Karl
mimic the guitar solo perfectly and play a G+ which most people don't even
know exists. From the Spiral, 4/19/98.

I'm
a Believer - hear 59 Donuts
cover the Monkees! Keith sings this one! He also does
a great
Keith-solo, while Karl plays the solo from the record on the bass. When
59 Donuts played this song at CBGB's no one remembered the words.

Nice
Guys -
the forgotten Donuts song! Played once at the first show
and then never played
again. Who knows if it'll one day return to the repitoire.

Stupid
in Love - I know what you're
saying: "that doesn't make any grammatical sense!" This
is a
very rockin' song, coupled very nice with "I Don't Want to See
You Around"

Reggae
Dancing with James Poon - this song became an instant
Donuts classic when it was introduced
to the repitoire. It features many Keith solos. Don't
be fooled - it's not a reggae song, it's a rock song.

I Don't
Want to See You Around - 59 Donuts' punk song. A
oldie from Joe's younger days, this
song stands out as a fast rock number, regardless of its brevity.
This version is live from the Spiral, April 19, 1998.

Waiting
for Your Call -
Keith's pop song that's been around from the beginning. Live
from the Spiral 4/19/98. Listen for Karl's "SOLO!!" that
made Keith (and the band) crack up and almost screw up
the solo. And listen for Joe who does a lot of the vocals in
this version along with Keith.

Becoming
a Bitch - this is a home demo done on a 4-track recorder. Henry
is not present on
the recording, though the other Donuts are.
