Taylor and I sat on the floor a long time without another word said. I think that Taylor was concentrating on comforting me than anything. I started to see through my teary eyes and calm down a bit. Even after the tears stopped coming and we both knew it, we stayed it that same spot, wrapped in each other loving embrace. Finally Taylor forced me to pull my head away from the shadows to look him in the eye. In his eyes I saw pain, anger, and confusion. He tried not to show it but I knew the face all too well. "Tay," I started to say. My voice was very cracky of crying as I looked down from his face. "Will you promise me something?" I said looking back into his eyes. He moved his hand up and pushed the fallen hair out of my face. "Anything." He whispered. "Don't ever leave me." I said just above a whisper. Taylor knew what I ment by that. "I promise to never leave you." He said back to me. He gave me a small kiss and pulled me into another hug form. Only this time there was no crying but more of a happy feeling. I held on tight to him not wanting him to leave me physically but I knew the time would come where he had to. We parted and stood up. Taylor put his arm around my waist so my head could lean on his shoulder. We walked back into the band room and went to our instruments. I sat on a stool and strummed an A chord to see if it was in tune. It was so I looked to Tay to see what he wanted to do. "How 'bout we play Shivers?" I asked. Shivers was another song I had wrote for Wishful Thinking. It was on our second independent recording and I knew Tay knew how to play it. He had listened to the CD everywhere his brothers told me. They would constantly hear WT day in and day out for what seemed like forever. Tay nodded his head in agreement. He played the opening notes on the keyboard exactly like Tara does. We both sang the words in perfect harmony. The song was about a mom leaving her daughter (dieing) and how the daughter can't live without the mom. So the daughter kills herself in the end. It was a story I had read in the newspaper and automaticly a chorus, melody, and music came into my head. I have that wonderful gift. I played my solo in the middle of the song like always. Taylor and I sounded very good together and I wondered if he felt the same way. When the song ending drifted we both looked at each other. "That sounded good." Taylor said stepping away from the keyboard. I took the guitar off and set it on the stand. Taylor heaved his body on to the couch. I took a seat next to him and leaned on him. He stretched his arm around me and sighed. "Ali, if something happened to your dad where would you go?" He asked me. I straightened up and thought for a moment. "Probaly Uncle David and Aunt Kirsten. I mean only in the sense that my Uncle Dan works full time and doesn't have time for a wife let alone a daughter." "What about Grandparents?" He questioned. "There all gone." I answered. We sat in an awkward silence for amoment before Tay spoke. "So if you told an adult about your dad then Kirsten and David would have custidy of you?" Taylor said with a hopeful smile. To me it seemed hard and rough. "Yeah, but I'm not ratting on my dad. He would kill me, literally." I said with a shudder. It was true. My dad probaly would kill me if I told on him and plus if I did rat on him soon my time with Richard may never come. Taylor could sense my tensness and pulled me into his lap so I was face to face with him. "But now is the present and you and I are together." He said. I wrapped my arms around his neck letting the smile I felt inside appear on my face. "Now and forever we'll be together." I answered back as the gap between us got smaller and smaller until there was none. Taylors lips gave me the feeling of our first kiss. The passion was there as well as his tongue. I felt his hands rubbing my back not trying to put much pressure on my bruise. I ran my fingers through Tay's blonde hair. I felt Tay pushing me against him but I didn't mind. I felt his mouth leave mine and place small kisses on my neck. I could feel arms loosen around my waist and then we just stopped. We both could sense that the further we went the harder it wold be to back down. Our foreheads touched and we both stared to the ground for a moment. Then I placed a small kiss on Tay's lips and put my head on his shoulder. Him holding me gave me the feeling my mother used to give me when I was scared at night. She would come in my room and rock me back and forth. "You know the clock is ticking and it is 5:00. Maybe we should get some food at that place on the courner?" Tay asked me. I looked up and climbed out of his lap. "I guess your right. I mean if we are gonna be snowed in we should get some batteries, food, and some flash lights." "Let's go." Tay answered. We ran up the stairs and slipped on our boots. We grabbed our coats and put them on as I grabbed the keys to the dirt bikes. The bikes were a very good utensil to have since they could ride in anything. I tossed Tay the key's and helmet to the red one while I took a seat on the green one and slipped my helmet on. I put the key in the hole and rifted her up. I took off out the garage with Tay behind me. I pressed the garage door opener to close it as we sped down the street. Tay kept creeping up on me as we were going already way over the speed limit. I went up a curve doing my pop-a-wheely. When we reached the store I pulled in the back along with Tay who had beat me. "Hey, Mister! You weren't suppose to beat me." I yelled at him as I pushed him playfully. We finished hooking up the bikes to a pipe line in the back. We walked around the courner of the store and walked casually in the door. "Let's go get food first." Taylor said to me. He grabbed a small basket and walked behind me. "What shall me get?" I said stopping infront of the frozen food section. Tay wrapped his arms around my waist and laid his head on my shoulder. "Whatever you want." He told me. He acted very sweet to me all the time which made feel special inside. "How 'bout some T.V. dinners? That way if we loose power we can still make them in the portable." I answered while pulling open the door and grabbing some dinners. There were barely any people in the store. It wasn't a very big store but it had all the little nessity. Tay began to place small classes on my neck and nuzzling his head in my neck as well. It was the small things like that, that made me love him more. After I placed about 12 dinners in the basket I turned around so I was facing Tay. His arms were still around my waist but they tightened when I turned around. He placed his lips against mine and slid his tongue in. Then there was a sudden FLASH! Chapter 27 Back Home
