Taylor and Richard wrestled on the ground as Ali reached down to her ankle and pulled the taped pistol off her leg. As she stood up taking the child proof lock off, a loud gun shot shattered the air. Taylor screamed in pain as Richard pushed him away still holding his weapon. Taylor grasped his left shoulder in agony as the bullet lay lodged in the bone. He continued to apply pressure as he sat up on the floor keeping distance from Richard. Richard stood and faced Ali who had her gun pointed at him. He easily cocked his gun at her as well. "You'll never win Aleka, Never." Richard mocked at her. She said nothing but glanced at Taylor who was in serious pain. The blood was starting to run over his fingers. Richard noticed the occasional side glances and smiled to himself. "Why don't I make things interesting?" Richard said trying to get Aleka's attention. "What are you talking about?" She asked back. "Little teeny bopper boy gets shot dead at a local Toledo girls home." Richard started to turn his gun toward Taylor but kept his gaze on Aleka. "The papers find out and the whole relationship is found out and all the sexual pictures are unvaled." Ali tensed up. "There was no sexual relaionship between us." She answered back sternly. Richard just smiled. "Oh Aleka, the things you don't know just amaze me. I have the picture in the store earlier today, I have pictures of you two laying in bed together, I have pictures of you making out. Trust me, people will believe." Ali was terribly frightened. The press would believe and the people believe the press. "How are the pictures going to be published if your dead?" Ali questioned him. He only smiled more. "I have sources, Aleka. They will be posted." Ali looked at Taylor and saw the fear and pain in his eyes. Taylor began to close his eyes from the pain streaking through his left arm. Richard glanced between them and slowly tilted the gun away from Taylor. "Or I could shoot Taylor Hanson's loving girlfriend, sending him into a deep depression, and the pop band dies down. Then the pictures of his unappropriate relationship show up causing total embrassment for the rest of his life." Ali wasn't scared to die anymore, as far she was concerned she already was dead. The only problem was that she did not want Taylor to die and wanted to make sure he wouldn't. Taylor's shirt had a large red ring around the left shoulder and his hands were balled up in fist as he started to feel his arm go a painful numb. "Ya know what, Richard? For the past god damn two years I have been trying to let go of my mothers death and I have commited my life to taking you fuckin' down and if that means I must die too, then so be it." Ali yelled at him. He did not show his surprised reaction but she could sense it inside of her that, that was not the raction he expected. Richard's eyes filled with fury as he pointed the gun towards her stomach. "Prepare to join your mother in hell, Aleka" Richard yelled back at her. "Bring it on!" Two shots rang through the air as Taylor saw both targets fall to the ground from impact. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Taylor's eyes fluttered open as he was able to hear the sirens. A man looked over him to check his heart rate. It was then Taylor noticed he was in an ambulance. He felt sharp wincing pains in his arm and a sharp headache starting to form in his head. He was confused at first. The man looked down at the kid and noticed that he was awake. "Hay, Jarod, the kids awake." The one man said to the other. The other guy, now known as Jarod, leaned over Taylor. "It's okay kid, we're taking you to the hospital. Just hang tight." Taylor didn't care about himself at the moment, he wanted to know what happened to Ali. As soon as the shots were fired the door was baracaded down and he blacked out. He never saw or heard anything after the shots had been fired. "My friend?" He whispered. Jarod looked at the other man with sympathetic eyes. "The man is dead, he was shot in the head and was killed instantly." Taylor nodded his head no. "The girl." He said to them. Once again the side glance continued. "She's in the ambulance behind us. It doesn't look good, kid. Just concentrate on yourself for now. They are going to the best they can for her to make her comfortable." Taylor closed his eyes to hide his tears forming in his eyes. "Not my Ali, anyone but my Ali." He whispered to himself as a lone tear spilled over his eyes. ~*~*~*~*~*~ "Mom, just get on a plane now. I have called Grandma and Grandpa and they said the little ones can stay with them. I know, Toledo Hospital. Okay, we are in the ER waiting room. I know. Mom don't cry." Ike said into the phone trying to console his mother. Bruce drove Tara, Ike, Corde, and Jason to the hospital once he got the phone call that both Ali and Taylor had been shot. Tara and Ike had left the house completely forgetting about Corde and Jason in the basement. They had heard the window shatter, the yelling, the shots, they had heard it all huddled in the basement. They talked to the police and Bruce picked them up to take them to Tay and Ali. Now Corde was sitting in a chair with her legs pulled to her chest rocking back and forth. She wasn't crying or anything, pretty much just in shock. Jason went downstairs to get her something to drink. Tara was on the other payphone calling Uncle David and Aunt Kirsten asking them to come as well. Overall, the teens were a mess. They knew nothing except that both Taylor and Ali had gone into immediate surgery to remove te bullets if they were able. They heard that Richard was dead but they would not celebrate that victory until they knew both of their friends were alright and well.
