Mrs. Hanson ran through the halls towards the ICU where Taylor was at the moment. The others were close on her heals but she had out run them for the time being. She ran to the closest nurse's station nearly calapsing from lack of air in her lungs. "Taylor Hanson's room please." She eventually spit out from her lips. The gray haired woman looked through the few charts that lay infront of her casually as if nothing was out of the ordinary. "Sector 4, mam" She finally said with no emotion. Diane didn't stick around long enough to yell at the woman for her reaction. Diane ran to the room number marked with the roman numeral four and bombared in it only to see Taylor sitting up in the bed. He looked haif way normal, with the exception of his slight paleness, IV line, and arm sling. However, he was Taylor and an alive Taylor was anything good for Diane. She ran to her child just as he noticed her and hugged him with all of her might trying to not hurt his other limb. Taylor just wrapped his one arm around his mom. "It's okay, mom. I'm going to be just fine." He said pulling her away from himself and giving her a reassuring smile. Everyone else excluding Tara, Corde, and Jason ran into the room with smiles on their faces. Isaac gave Taylor the biggest hug ever as he felt the tears start to form in his eyes. Taylor smiled at his brother. "It's alright, big bro. I've pulled through." Ike just let out a small sigh with an emotional wave of happiness. Taylor looked around at his family after he gave Zac a hug, which Zac had almost broke down in tears from. "So, what happened to Ali?" Taylor asked suddenly and out of the blue. They all looked at each other almost asking one another who was going to break the news. Ike stepped forward and tried his best to explain. "Ali was shot in the stomach and has been in surgery for almost five hours. The doctors won't tell us anything, but the fact that she is still not stabalized. We should know soon though, Tay." Tay just turned his head towards the window where the sun had started to climb the horizon. A single tear slid down his cheek and he simply brushed it away. ~*~*~*~*~*~ "Are you friends of Aleka Vasquilikis?" The doctor said to Corde, Jason, and Tara. The three of them just nodded their heads and took deep breaths. The doctor looked at the scared, pale faces of her friends. "Aleka has been stabalized." Tara and Corde both burst into tears of happiness. Ali was going to live. "She is being moved up to the ICU as we speak in Sector 5. She won't be awake until the anthestetic wears off, but she is going to be just fine, with the exception of taking some medications." ~*~*~*~*~*~ Taylor was left alone in his large room when the doctors came to speak to his family. He stared at all the machines in the room. He recalled one of them from when Ali had been in the accident. Ohh . .Ali. He couldn't get the name to stop ringing in his ears. The sliding doors opened and in stepped Ali's Uncle Dan, the police lutenient. "How are you Taylor?" he said as he took a seat in the chair next to Tay's bed. "Okay, for having a broken collar bone." Taylor answered resituating his position so he could talk to him face to face. "The Police Department is going to pay for all of your medical bills, we are really sorry you had to get involved." Dan pulled out a blank check and placed it on the stand. "Just fill it out for whatever the cost is." He let it go and gave Taylor a weak smile. "How's Aleka?" Taylor asked. Dan knew the question was going to be asked and at first he had dreaded it, but now it was not a situation to be feared. "She's going to be fine Taylor. She has been stabalized and should be moving in the room next door to you very soon. However, she is going to have to take some meds for the rest of her life." Taylor leaned his head back and sighed the sigh of relief he had hoped for. "What kind of meds will she be taking?" Taylor asked with his eyes still closed. "I'm not sre, but it will be permanent." Dan took Taylor's hand and Talor opened his eyes. "You just get better, please. And pretty soon you and Ali can both go home." Suddenly, Taylor remembered the home Ali was going back to. The one of hate. The one of abuse. The one of the killings. Dan picked up his briefcase and started to leave, but Taylor called him back. "Dan, can I talk to you about Ali's father real quick?" ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Taylor rolled into Al's ICU room next door as soon as he saw her bed rolled in with Tara, Corde, and Jason close behind them. As soon as he walked in the doorway he noticed the same scene he had seen nearly 3 monthes ago. The same tubes, the same guant face, the same person. Her face was so pale and it seemed so awful for someone so young to go through what she had done. But Ali was a strong individual and would complete her mission. Tara, Corde, and Jason all stood huddled around the bedside and hadn't even heard Tay enter the room. He made his way over to them taking in a deep breath. Tara heard him and ran throwing her arms around him. A slight pain shot through his arm, but he knew it would subside soon. Tara held on tight. "Thank God your okay." She whispered into his ear. Taylor just squeezed her and let go. Corde also hugged him and thanked him for trying to protect Ali. Jason shook his hand, but evenually managed to give him one of those handshake/hug deals. They all just sort of stared at the figure before them. They didn't know how to respond. They knew she would be alright, but at the moment she looked pained and not connecting with the world they were in. She wasn't fully there yet and they planned to stay there until reality came back.
