"If you think that Dave Grohl is the only Northwest skinsman who can kick ass on guitar ..." then you haven't heard of Matt Cameron. Matt is a true piece of work and is one of the most talented men on the face of the planet. *grin* He can play a wide range of instruments, and while drums are his specialty, he can also wail on various instruments from guitar to moog! He also has the task of being Chris's backup singer at shows. Some of his more famous backup songs are "Mind Riot", "Rusty Cage", and "Outshined", etc. Matt is probably a relief to most interviewers, as he has a keen sense of humor, but it isn't quite as deadpan as Chris's. Here's a list of Matt's roles prior to, during, and post Soundgarden:

Early 80's-Drummer for San Diego band, Feedback
1983-84-Drummer for Seattle band Skin Yard
1984-97-Drummer for Seattle band Soundgarden
1990-Drummer for Andy Wood tribute band, Temple of the Dog
1990-present: Drummer for Seattle jazz band Tone Dogs
1993-present?: Drummer/Singer/Guitarist for Seattle band Hater
1993-present?: Drummer, guitar for Seattle band Wellwater Conspiracy
1998-present: Drummer for Pearl Jam on their 1998 Yield tour! Go check em out!
