Adriane stood holding the knife for a second..should she trust him? Then she thought about the man on the other line..it wasn't his voice. This was someone different. Adriane heaved a sigh of relief. She heaved the knife over to the other side on the room and fell to the floor. "Sorry..I...I thought you were someone else," she stammered out.
"Well,my name's Brian..are you ok?" Adriane looked up to see a loving face smiling down on her.She starred into his clear blue eyes.
"No..no I'm not."
"You wanna come over and tell me about it? I just moved in."
"I have to call the hospital!" Adriane suddenly jumped up and ran for the phone. Her hands shook as she desperately tried to dial the numbers. Brian walked over and dialed them for her.He listened carefully as she told the operator that her boyfriend was injured possibly killed. She gave the address and hung up.
"I'm sorry..you still wanna come over? I could get you some hot chocolate if you'd like?"
"Sure." They walked across the street to Brian's new house. Sitting on the couch,Adriane waited for some coco.
Finally,Brian came back carrying 2 cups and sat down beside her. "I just moved here, my friends and I are in a group and they all live here except my cousin. So I came down here."
"I..I'm sorry..I just went through something bad..really.. bad..um..I..I have to go check on John.." she jumped up and headed out the door leaving Brian on the couch.
He smiled sweetly to himself. 'Poor girl..' he thought as he got up and walked to the kitchen.
Adriane ran through the front door and blinded by tears, she jogged down the steps running into someone. "He..." Adriane pushed past the stunned person and ran down the street. AJ looked behind him at the girl who'd just ran into him. He snickered and walked inside Brian's house."BRIAN!!" he yelled out into the huge house.
"What?" Brian came down the stairs.
"What'd you do now? Got girls fleeing from your house man!" AJ laughed.
"Nothing..she just had a bad experience.. or something..I don't know.." Brian sighed.
"Well the guys are going down to the lake with me..wanna come?" AJ asked.
"Yeah.." Brian threw a jacket on and ran towards AJ's car.

"I'm sorry Adr. I really am." Adriane's friends hugged her as she sat in the funeral home. She'd gone to Johnathan's house to find ambulances and police men everywhere.
"I don't know how I'll get over this, guys.." she said as she starred off into space.
"You will..I promise..you'll never forget him but at least you have memories," Adriane's friend Lola said giving her another big hug.
"Thanks guys," they all hugged her one last time before they got up and walked out to their cars. Adriane looked down at Johnathan. He looked like an angel. Peaceful..just like he was asleep. She leaned down and layed a small kiss on his forehead before walking outside and getting in her dodge.
9 months later:
"BRIAN!!!" Brian ran down the stairs with a towel around his waist at the sound of his name.
"WHAT??!?!?!" he glarred at Adriane who stood smiling at him.
"Come here please.." she sweetly smiled. Brian slipped on a shirt and followed her over to her house. She took him to the living room and held up two videos. "Which one should I watch?"
"You got me out of the shower to ask me that?" Brian smirked, half amused.
"Yeah..I don't know which to watch and I'm bored!" she wined.
"Go over to AJ's house and bug him!"
"You're closer."
"Yeah..well..if you got me out to see my birthday suit you might be better off going to AJ's anyways coz it's rare that you'll catch me in this situation. AJ walks around half naked all the time."
Adriane raised an eyebrow. "Really?"
"Yup.." Brian giggled as he got up, "oh yeah..um.. Bambi.. great choice."
Adriane laughed.
"Was that supposed to be an insult?"
"Yes." Brian walked out the door. He skipped over to his house and walked in the door in time to hear the phone ringing. Picking up the phone..a raspy voice blared through the line.
"Hey Bri!!" AJ shouted. "How's baby sis?" Brian smiled at the nick name Adriane had gotten from Kevin.
"She's just fine..her normal annoying self."
"Naw.. couldn't be.." AJ laughed."Well..reahersals are tommorrow at 7:45."
"AM?" Brian prayed it was at night.
"Yup.." Sighing, Brian looked up at the tv.
"So..I'm gonna get off k?"
"Yeah."
"Bye rok!"
"Bye Boner," Brian hung up the phone and looked out his window. Across the street.. he could faintly hear the sounds of Adriane's tv going. Brian took in another large breathe and let it out.He pushed the curtain back and leaned against the wall.He knew he was slowly but surely falling hard for Adriane...
