"Calm down, Kev, he went for a jog. I'm sure he'll be back soon." he said and he went back to fooling around with the other three.
"Kids...." Kevin sighed. "Howie, let's go look for Brian, so we can get going."
"Alright. A.J.! Keep an eye on these KIDS over here." Howie said.
A.J. looked up from his make out session with Amanda. "Yeah, no prob." he said and they continued on.
So Kevin and Howie headed off to look for Brian.
Theresa and Dawn were tired from running around and decided to sit down and rest, hoping Nick and Aaron would give up too.
"Are you guys giving up already?" Nick challenged. "You can't keep up with us boys, can you?"
Dawn looked at Theresa. "Is that a challenge, Nick Carter?"
"Yeah..."
"Well, then your on?" Theresa got up and started tickling him crazily. Nick couldn't help it because he was really ticklish, so he fell to the ground trying to wiggle his way out of it. "Who's giving up now, boy?"
"Stop, stop!" Nick whined.
"No, not until you say girls are superior than boys." Theresa said.
"No way, I'd never do that." Nick cried.
Aaron and Dawn just sat there laughing at the tickle match. "Nick's losin," Aaron laughed. "He'll never win now, he can never win a tickling match. That's his weak spot. When we're at home and we're having a challenge or something, all of us, the younger siblings, would gang up on him and just tickle him until he gives up."
"Really?" Dawn asked, "I didn't know that." She looked over at Theresa and Nick and just laughed. Then she looked at Aaron, "What's your weak spot?"
"I'll never reveal that or else I will be defeated. You will have to find that out on your own, and I'm not going to let you do that," he said slyly.
"And how are you going to do that?" Dawn asked.
"I have my ways," Aaron said.
"Yeah right," Dawn laughed, "We'll have to see about that. I'll get you when you least expect it."
They continued to cheer Theresa on as Nick was losing the battle.
"Heh heh, your really losing now," Theresa said.
"No, I'm not giving up.." Nick said struggling.
Theresa continued to tickle Nick. "So are you going to pee yourself laughing or something?" Theresa joked.
"Well, if you want me to, it'll be all over you." Nick joked back.
"Eww." Dawn said.
Finally, to everyone's surprise, Nick caved in and said, "Okay, okay, you win, I give up! You win Theresa."
"Truce, then?" Theresa asked holding her hand out.
"No..." Nick said.
"Well, then I'm not going to stop tickling you then.." she warned and she continued to tickle him.
"Okay, okay, truce," Nick gave in, shook Theresa's hand and held them. "Only for now.." he grinned and ran off.
"What a devil," Theresa said to herself.
"It's not over, is it?" Dawn asked Aaron.
"Nope," Aaron laughed.
Meanwhile, Kevin and Howie spotted Brian with a girl sitting beside him.
"Hey Bri, we gotta get goin?" Kevin yelled out. Brian looked up surprised. "Oh, hey Kev. Hey Howie, I'd like you to meet someone."
Kevin and Howie walked up to Brian.
"Guys, this is Karen..." Brian introduced. "And Karen that is my cousin Kevin and my friend Howie."
Karen just smiled.
"Nice to meet you," Howie said.
Kevin looked at the girl as if he had met her before. "I'm sorry about the starring but do I know you?"
The girl looked at Brian. "Oh...umm..she was the girl Nick ran into last week when we went roller-blading, 'member?"
"Oh yeah, that's where I saw you." Kevin looked confused now.
"Hey guys would you mind if Karen stayed with us for awhile..? She needs a place to crash for a bit and I thought since we have tonnes of extra rooms, she could use one." Brian asked.
Kevin and Howie looked at each other surprised. "Cuz, can I talk to you for a second? Alone..."
"Sure," Brian said. "I'll be right back," he said to Karen.
"Brian, you don't even know her and you invite her to stay at our place. She could be some psycho who's out to kill the Backstreet Boys..."
"Kev, calm down, I don't think she knows that we're the Backstreet Boys. You have to hear the story to understand her. I talked to her all afternoon and she seems harmless. Please, Kev, I'll explain to you when I can, right now..I can't betray her trust, that's all she needs. She has no family, no place to stay..it's the least I can do. Please!!" Brian begged.
"Brian, if you're wrong, I swear your not going to hear the end of it, I know that you want to do what's best in your heart. You always put others before you....alright, she can stay at our place, but only for awhile...gee, what's Leigh Ann gonna say about a girl at our place?"
'Shoot, I totally forgot about Leigh Ann....I am going to have to explain myself to her. It's not like I'm falling for this girl, I'm just helping her out.' Brian thought to himself. "Don't worry, Kev. Leigh Ann will understand completely. I know she will." he said doubtfully.
Brian ran over to Karen, where Howie was talking with her, "Hey guess what? Kevin said you could come stay with us."
"Really?" she said relieved.
"Yes, really." Kevin replied.
"Thank you so much," Karen said, "I owe you guys big time."
"It'd be our pleasure to have you stay at our place," Howie said.
"Right now we have to get going it's really late." Kevin suggested.
Brian whispered to Karen, "I told you so." And Karen just smiled. 'Maybe this is the beginning of a new life.'
"Thanks Brian. I owe you." She whispered back.
"No problem."
The four headed back to the others.
