"For a couple of hours."
"What? What time is it?"
"Almost 6:00 pm."
"Why didn't you wake me up? I wasted two hours of my time to be with you asleep."
"Don't worry about it, there's many days to come. Plus, I liked watching you sleep, you looked even more beautiful."
"I must've been tired. Thanks, Aaron for being my pillow."
"Not a problem, I'm always here when you need a pillow." he joked.
Dawn got up and gave Aaron a kiss on the lips. Then she held him tighter and gave him a kiss he'd never forget.
"What was that for?" he said breatheless.
"A token of my gratitude." she smiled.
"Wow, I should do more nice things for you." he teased.
"Nah, you don't need to, just being here with you is enough." she said and she gave him another kiss like before.
"We better save some for later," he said, "We gotta get goin."
"Aww..do we have to go now?" she said sadly.
"Don't you want to see how your friend is doing?"
"Oh yeah, I should spend the night with her, eh?"
"Yeah," he said. "I'll walk you back to your hotel."
They got up and slowly made their way back to the Grand Floridian.
At the hotel, Theresa was all dressed up and ready to go. She was wearing a violet dress and her hair up in a neat bun. She went down to the lobby and sat in one of those over sized chairs. She was a half hour early. She got out of the chair and decided to wander around and check out the hotel, she hasn't done that yet, since she had gotten there. She saw a convenience store, a bar, a restaurant and the pool. It was a beautiful hotel. She looked at her watch, 15 minutes left. She decided to go back to the lobby and sat down in the big chair. She looked around at the people walking around. She saw her parents. "Hey, sweetie where are you going all dressed up?" asked her mom.
"I'm going out for dinner." Theresa replied.
"Dinner? With who? Dawn? The Backstreet Boys?"
"No, not with Dawn or the Backstreet Boys, I'm going for dinner with Travis, a boy I met this afternoon."
"Are you sure honey? Do you even know this boy?"
"Don't worry mom, we're eating at the restaurant in this hotel. If there's a problem, I'll go straight to my room or even better, to yours alright?"
"Okay honey, have fun and be careful and be back in your room early tonight okay."
As her parents left, Travis appeared. He had a bouquet of flowers in his hands and he was dressed in a black dress pants and a beautiful sweater.
"Wow, you look good." Theresa said and she looked at the flowers. "Are those for me?"
"Yeah, they are. Umm.. you look really pretty." he complimented.
"Thanks," she said.
"Let's go eat, I'm hungry." he said. He held out his hand and she took it. He led her to the restaurant. He requested for a table for two and as they got their table, he pulled out her chair for her.
'He's so sweet,' she said to herself.
"So what will it be?" he asked her.
"Anything." she said.
"You gotta pick, I don't exactly know what you like so if I pick something you hate, then.. it'll be a waste."
"True." she said.
"What about a steak with mashed potatoes on the side."
"Aren't steaks expensive?"
"Don't worry about it. I'm having one."
"Alright I'll have the same."
Travis ordered the two steaks and they were off.
"So," he said, "Where are you from?"
"I'm from Wisconsin. And U?" Theresa said.
"I'm from Milwaukee." he said, "We only live a couple hours away."
"Yeah."
Their food came and they started eating. "Mmm.. this is some good steak," Theresa commented.
"Yeah, it sure is." he agreed. "So how old are you?"
"I'm 16 and you?"
"17."
The two continued their conversation as dinner went on. They were having a great time getting to know each other.
Meanwhile, up on the third floor. Dawn opened up the door to her room. "Theresa? Are you in here?" She turned to Aaron. "She's not in here. She's probably wandering the hotel or something. Want to come in for a bit, just until Theresa comes back?"
"Sure."
They walked over to Dawn's bed. "Aaron, thanks for the great time today."
"No problem. We'll do this again tomorrow or something."
"Yeah." Dawn said. "Let's watch some T.V."
"Alright," he said as he reached for the remote. "I wonder what's on." he said flipping through channels. They turned to MTV, 'Total Request Live', was on. Ricky Martin was being interviewed.
"This guy is hot!" Dawn exclaimed. She looked at Aaron, "But your hotter." He pretended to be angry. Dawn leaned over and kissed Aaron. He pressed his lips as he tried to resist it. "I know you like it," Dawn said. She started to tickle him. He tried to wiggle and he hit his head on the bed board.
"Ouch!" he cried.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Dawn said. "Let me kiss is better." She kissed his head. "All better?" she asked.
"No, the pain all of a sudden moved to my lips."
Dawn grinned and leaned over and gave him a kiss. She backed away and Aaron pulled her towards him, this time he gave her a kiss she'd never forget. "Ha, beat that."
Dawn just looked at him with dreamy eyes. 'I'm in heaven!' she thought.
As Theresa and Travis left the restaurant they stopped in their steps. "Theresa, do you want to go for a walk?"
"Sure, I could use the fresh air." she said.
They walked outside into the dark, moonlit night. "Wow, it's beautiful out here." Theresa said.
"Yeah, but it's not as beautiful as you."
Theresa blushed excessively. "Thank you." she acknowledged.
The two continued to walk down the street taking in the fresh air and learning more and more about each other every minute.
"I'm having a great time," Theresa admitted to Travis.
"I'm glad you are," he said, "because I am too."
"Well, I think we should get back, I told my mom I'd be home early tonight."
"Okay, sure, I gotta get back early too."
They walked up to the elevator. "I can go from here." Theresa said. "Thanks for the wonderful evening."
"Alright? I'll see you again soon?" Travis said.
"Yeah definitely!" Theresa smiled. "C-ya later!" she turned to leave.
"Theresa?" Travis said.
"Yeah?" as she turned around to look at him. He reached out and gave her a hug.
"Thanks, again." he said as he gave her a kiss on the cheek.
The elevator door opened and Theresa walked in, "Bye Travis." she yelled out as the doors closed.
Theresa walked up to her hotel room door. She stood there 'I wonder if Dawn's back yet.' As she opened the door she saw Aaron and Dawn laying on her bed sleeping. 'Aww.. they look so cute together...' she looked at Aaron, 'He reminds me so much of Nick...'
"Oh hey Theresa, you're back!" said a sleepy Dawn. "Where'd you go? Your so dressed up."
"I went out for dinner."
"Oh did you?" Dawn said with her eyebrows perked. 'She didn't look like she was going to go anywhere this morning. I wonder what changed her mind.' she wondered.
"Yeah..." she mumbled.
Dawn looked at the still sleeping Aaron.
"So how was your day?" asked Theresa.
"It was good. But I couldn't stop thinking about how you were doing... I was worried about you.."
"Oh, did you see anyone today?" Theresa was now thinking about Nick.
'I can't tell her we saw Karen or she'll blow.' Dawn thought. "Nah, we didn't see anyone."
Theresa's face fell. "Oh," she said disappointed.
"Hey Theresa," said a now awaken Aaron. "How are you?"
"I could be better," she said sadly.
Aaron felt he was standing in the way, so he decided to leave. "I think I should get going," he suggested.
"Okay," Dawn said.
"Well, see you later Theresa."
"Bye." Theresa said.
"I'll walk you to the elevator," Dawn said.
Aaron walked out into the hallway with Dawn following him.
"Aaron, thanks for staying with me today. And for the wonderful day." Dawn said. "I'm sorry about Theresa."
"It's okay, I understand, give me a call later alright?" Aaron said.
"Okay," Dawn said and she gave him a good bye kiss. "Later." She stood there until the elevator door closed and headed back to her room. "So Theresa who'd you go to dinner with?" she asked.
"Oh, yeah dinner," she remembered. "I went to dinner with a guy named Travis."
"Travis?"
"Yeah I met him down at the pool this afternoon. He's really sweet."
'Has she forgotten about Nick? I don't want to ask. But...' Dawn thought. "So what's he like?"
"A real gentleman," she said. "I just wish..."
"You wish what?" Dawn asked.
"I wished he was Nick."
"Oh Theresa..."
"I'm sorry, Travis is a nice guy, but I really can't get my mind off Nick, the weirdest thing happened today. I was watching MTV and the Backstreet Boys video was on and then I turned on the radio and there it was a nother Backstreet Boys song." Theresa told Dawn. "It wasn't exactly helping me much, so I went for a swim and there he was. He's kind of cute. He reminds me of Nick...." she drifted away.
'I guess she hasn't forgotten about Nick.' Dawn said to herself.
"Well, I'm going to go to bed," Theresa said. "I need it."
"Yeah, you've been up for more than 24 hours." Dawn said, "Good Night. I'm gonna call Aaron in my parents' room."
"Night." she yawned. As soon as she hit her pillow she was out like a light bulb.
'She must be really tired.' She looked at the sleeping Theresa. 'I hope she's alright though. It's really good though that she met someone, hopefully he can take her mind off Nick.'
