Weep No More, My Baby

Arnette-O'Dell-Murphy-Patterson, 1960.  Recorded: 07-10-60

Johnny Kidd (vocals) - Alan Caddy (rthm) - Brian Gregg (bass) - Clem Catinni (drums)

Alan Caddy's chunky guitar style is demonstrated to good effect on this cut, one of two tracks that appeared on Parlophone's "Saturday Club" LP in 1960. The other was the swanky "Big Blon' Baby".  A possible "missing single" here perhaps, considering that these two cuts were by far the strongest offerings on the LP?

Well, weep no more, my baby
Cos I'm a-comin' back to you
Well, weep no more my baby
Ah hah, lo-o-o-o-nely day-ay-ays are through

Wipe away those teardrops
'Cos I'm-a-comin back to you
Well, weep no more, my baby
Ah hah, lo-o-o-o-nely nigh-igh-ights are through

Well dry those eyes my baby
'Cos I've been alone too long
Well this time I don't mena maybe
I know, I know I've done you wrong

Yeah, well, weep no more, my baby
Cos I'm a-comin' back to you
Well, weep no more my baby
Ah hah, lo-o-o-o-nely nigh-igh-ights are through

(instrumental break)

Well, weep no more, my baby
Cos I'm a-comin' home to you
Well, weep no more, my baby
Ah hah, lo-o-o-o-nely nigh-h-hts are through
Cos I'm a-comin' home to yooooooou
