Personal Profile: Howie Dorough

Flordia native, Howie Dorough knew he was destined for stardom when he sang 'Baby Face' atop his grandmother's bed at the adorable age of three. The youngest of five children, Howie comes from a diverse ethnic background of Irish and Puerto Rican descent. His mother Paula works in a school and father Hope, a retired police officer, is Chief Code Enforcement Officer for Orange County. Howie has three sisters and one brother--Angela, Caroline, Polly Anna and John. It was actually Polly Anna, also a talented singer, who pulled Howie into the limelight. Howie is a professionally trained dancer who has worked in community theatre, commercials, TV and appeared in the movies "Parenthood" and "Cop and a Half." As one of the five Backstreet Boys, Howie's 'high-flying falsetto' gives the group it's romantic blend. And speaking of romance, Howie is best known for his sweet side. Often referred to as the sweet, Latin lover, this curly haired cutie has got it goin' on!
