Five minutes later, Jason arrived in a white van. It was the Hanson's van, but Jason had brought it to the shop for repairs. Luckily, the van had been out of the shop earlier that day.
"Come on, get in"
August and Taylor hurried into the van and they sped off. Along for the ride besides Jason, August and Taylor were two other guards that August recognized as Mike and Bill. They resembled Jason. They were well built and bald. She guessed that they were along incase something happened that Jason couldn't handle.
After a quiet, 3-4 minute ride to the Tulsa Mall, Jason reached into the glove compartment and pulled out three walkie talkies.
"Find them Tay. When you do, radio back and I'll be at the closest door."
Taylor nodded. He handed August the other walkie talkie. He, August, Mike and Bill got out of the van and rushed into the mall.
"August. If you see them, radio to me and to Jason, ok?"
"Ok."
"Mike, could you go with her?"
"Sure Tay"
"Thanks"
"No problem, its my job." Mike smiled
Taylor and Bill went left and August went right. August ran towards the food court. She could hear the screams getting louder.
"Guys?"
"Yea?" replied Jason and Taylor
"I see them"
"Ok, where are you?" asked Taylor
"Food Court."
"I'll be at the exit in the Kohls store, ok guys?"
"Thanks Jason"
"Welcome August."
August began to run. She could hear Mike behind her.
"August, you grab Jessica and Zac, and I'll get Ike, alright?" called Mike
"Ok."
She could hear them. They were running towards the food court, the screams were getting louder, and they were going to run right past her. She hooked the walkie talkie to her jeans, took a deep breath and started running towards them. She saw Zac and Jessie coming around the corner.
"Zac!! Jessie!!" she yelled
The saw here and sprinted her way. She held out her hand and Zac grabbed it. She glanced back and saw Mike grab Isaac. She unhooked the walkie talkie.
"Ok, I've got Zac and Jessie, Mike has Ike. Tay, meet us at the van, and have the doors open."
"Gotcha August. Be careful."
"I'll try"
She re-hooked it and kept running. She could see Kohls coming up. She continued to pull Zac's arm until they got to Kohls.
"Jason's out there with the van, ok? Go!" she yelled
She let Zac's hand go and he continued to pull Jessie through the store. A few seconds later, Mike appeared with Isaac and a couple mall security men. He signaled for her to go with Isaac, she nodded. Isaac grabbed her hand as he ran past, and together, they ran through the store and into the van. Taylor saw this and was not very happy. Seconds later, Mike ran out and joined them. He jumped into the van and yelled
"Go!"
The van sped out of the parking lot and onto the street.
"Whoa, what a rush!" cried Zac "Lets do it again!"
"Zac!" came five responses, (counting Jason)
"What!? I was only kidding!"
The drive home seemed endless to August. She could sense the sudden tension between the oldest brothers. She shook her head and touched her bracelet. This was going to be an interesting experience.
