Hi everyone. My name is Karin and I am a friend of Melissa's. This is my first story. I hope you like it. Remember it is totally fake. Please don't copy it. Thanx.

Never Been Kissed

"Are you ready Stef," asked Jeff.
Stef and Jeff are second cousins and since it was the last day of school in grade 10, their Oma, well Stefs's Oma, and that would make it Jeff's great aunt right? Well anyway she was taking them out for lunch.
"I think she's taking us out to A&W," said Jeff sarcastically.
"To bad you guys couldn't come to the movie with us," I said.
"Go have fun with Oma," shouted Kristin jokingly has we said goodbye to our friends.
Me and my friends Natalie, Charlene, and Kristin were going to West Edmonton Mall to catch the movie, Never Been Kissed.
"Come on Karin, were going to miss the bus," called Charlene.
"Okay, I'm coming," I called back. I finished saying goodbye to the guys. (I was talking to them about guitars.)
We walked to the bus stop and there I talked to my friend Melissa, who besides me, is the only other Moffatt fan in my entire school, that I know of. We got on the bus, took it to Southgate, switched buses there and were at the Mall in about 45 minutes to an hour. On the bus ride Kristin started talking about the movie Notting Hill. Charlene, her, and Natalie didn't seem to enthusiastic about seeing the movie I wanted to see, since they all had seen Never Been Kissed before, Natalie three times.
We got to the Mall and over lunch had a vote on which movie to see of course it was three against one. So Kristin tried to talk me out of my decision.
"Come on Karin, you like Hugh Grant, he's soooo hot."
Me being not the biggest movie freak replied, "Who's Hugh Grant." She could tell her persuasion wasn't working.
"I'll buy you popcorn, and I'll sit beside you for the movie." This went on for quite some time. I was just rolling my eyes at her. The only way she would be quiet and not mad at me, was to give in.
"Well," I mumbled, "you guys won the vote."
The three of them looked relieved.
After lunch we decided to check out SilverCity, the new movie theatre in the mall, which has a dragon that really breaths fire, every twenty minutes. I wanted to see that. I must say that it was very suspenseful, because everyone says that the fire is hot, (my brother almost got burnt.) During the presentation I thought I saw Bob Moffatt, from the corner of my eye looking my way. But me being the shy person I am was afraid to go ask him, because what if he wasn't. That can't be I thought to myself, why would he be in Edmonton now? Their tour schedule said they wouldn't be in Edmonton for a few weeks.
Anyways I put that out of my mind. We went shopping for a bit until the movie started. We bought our tickets and were in the theatre just in time for the movie to start. Then I thought to myself what am I doing here, I don't want to see this. No one checked our tickets to see which movie to go to. I could just sneak out of this one and sneak into the other without anyone noticing. Ten minutes later I did just that. I told my friends to wait for me after their movie was done and they agreed.
I slipped into the next movie theatre and to my surprise, sitting right there were the Moffatts. I'm not the type to lose my cool and start freaking out about meeting famous people. I went up to them and asked, " Are you the Moffatts?"
"Yep," replied Scott who was sitting on the outside.
"Cool," I said.
I sat down two rows in front of them and during the beginning of the advertisements, I heard whispers coming from the Moffatts behind me. Then Dave spoke out, "Excuse me."
I looked around and there was no other person in the theatre for him to be talking to except for me, after a few seconds it finally clicked in.
"Yeah," I answered.
"Do you want to sit with us?" he asks.
"Sure," I replied.
So I picked up my stuff and I overheard Dave whisper to Bob, "I hope your happy." At that point I turned around and got up to go sit with them. Bob was blushing. Clint and Dave got up and moved a seat over so I could sit in-between Bob and Dave.
"So," asked Bob, "what is your name, and how come you're here by yourself?"
"My name is Karin, and my friends went to see Notting Hill," I replied.
The movie started, during the movie, Bob and I made eye contact and smiled at each other many times. He has such a great smile. The movie was so funny or it was because the Moffatts made it funnier, joking around the whole time. At the end of the movie, when the song Until You Loved Me came on, they all started singing to it. I myself joined in. Then the guys got out of their seats, and Bob dragged me out of mine and we all went up to the front and did an airband performance. It was sooo much fun. We all acted really stupid. By the end of the song, I couldn't stop laughing. I finally did though, and then Clint asked me, "hey, uh, Karin do you have a boyfriend?" I could see Bob giving him the evil eye.
"No," I said, "actually I have never had a boyfriend before. I'm like the title of the movie, Never Been Kissed." Bob looked relieved after I said that.
"Are you coming to our concert in Edmonton in July," asked Scott.
"No..." I replied.
"No?" Dave cut me off.
"You could wait until I finish Dave," I said laughing.
"Sorry," he mumbled.
"I'm going to your concert in Winnipeg, because my family won't be here when you're here, but we will be in Winnipeg when you are, and my aunt got me a ticket."
"Cool, where are you sitting?" asked Bob.
"She got me row 12 seat 4 on the floor," I said, "is that a pretty good seat?"
I looked over at Scott who was deep in thought. "Yeah, that is an okay seat. Sorry I don't mean to change the subject, but since your friends didn't want to come to this movie with you, do you want to play a practical joke on them with us?" he asked.
"Sure, what do you have in mind?" I said.
"Do your friends know that you never had a boyfriend?" he asked.
"Yeah, we've been in the same class ever since grade one and three, that is probably why I haven't had a boyfriend, because I been with the same people all my life practically. Why do you ask?" I said.
"Well, you and Bob could pretend that you are girlfriend and boyfriend, hold hands or something when we walk out. I'm guessing they don't know who we are, or are they fans of us? Oh well it doesn't really matter I guess," said Scott.
"I don't think they are fans, but they have heard of you guys, and I don't think they know what you look like," I replied.
"Are you two up for this?" Scott asked.
"Yep," Bob and I answered in unison.
"So we just go with the flow, right?" questioned Bob.
"I guess so," I said, "but we'd better hurry incase they leave without me."
So we all walked out of the theatre together, Bob and me hand in hand. When Charlene, Kristin and Natalie saw us, I swear their eyes were so wide, they were going to pop out. Kristin was the first to speak, "You have a boyfriend?"
"Yeah, my little secret, we've been going out since April. I'd like you all to meet Bob," I heard them gasp, along with a few snickers from the boys behind me.
"Hi," Bob said awkwardly with a little wave of his hand.
"Hi," they answered.
There was silence for a few seconds then, "Aren't you going to introduce us," I heard a voice behind me, it was Dave's.
"Oh, sorry," I said, "these are Bob's brothers, Scott, Clint, and Dave."
They all said hello and shook hands, then Natalie spoke up, "You can't be brothers, because you all look the same age."
"Well, Bob, Dave and I are triplets and Scott is a year older," answered Clint.
"Oh," she said, looking a little embarrassed.
There was small chatter going on for about five minutes. Then Charlene spoke out, "I hate to break it to you but we have a bus to catch in 10 minutes. It was nice meeting you all but we have to go."
"Yeah, we have to meet our parents soon," said Bob looking a little sad.
Then Bob did something I didn't expect, he gave me a soft kiss on the lips, and to my surprise I found myself kissing him back. It lasted for about five seconds, but it felt as if time had frozen right then. I felt like I was going to melt, you know when you get that warm feeling inside. After that I gave him a hug and he whispered in my ear, "now you've been kissed."
"Thanks," I replied.
I gave the rest of the guys hugs and whispered ‘nice meeting you' in their ears, and they said ‘same with you.' When it was Scotts turn I whispered, "I owe you one."
His response was, "We'll talk about that later."
"I'll see you guys in Winnipeg," I said as I was leaving and waved good bye. Bob looked really sad to see me leaving, and me, I was sad too.
I began walking with my friends, they had not yet started flooding me with their questions yet, but I guess they were still stunned, and it had not yet sunken in. Then I heard Bob say, "Karin wait."
"Yeah," I replied.
"I forgot to give you my new email address, my old one doesn't work anymore," he said.
I told my friends to wait for me and walked back to him. He was already writing down his email address. "Yes," I exclaimed to myself I can email him. He gave me a piece of paper, checked it over to make sure there was no mistake and said, "write me please."
I said, "Okay," gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and left. Behind me I could hear his brothers teasing him as I left, and I smiled to myself. What a day it had been. I not only met with my favorite band, but also my favorite Moffatt brother actually really liked me.
I found my friends again. I got my share of the teasing, then the questions came. I tell you I did a good job of lying. Being a Christian though, I felt terrible, because lying is wrong.
"Where is he from?" asked Charlene.
"Winnipeg," I said.
"How did you meet him?" asked Natalie.
"Well," I said, "I, uh, I met him in April when my dad came back from Winnipeg, the four of them came back with him and since Y.C. was on then, there were no hotels to stay at, so my dad let them stay at our house, and during that time we became close. Since he came to Edmonton now at the end of June, my parents felt that it would be best for them to stay at a Hotel, since I would be distracted to easily with my studying. That is the reason I wanted to go see Never Been Kissed so badly. Anyways they are going back to Winnipeg today. So what did you think of his brothers?" I quickly changed the subject.
"Well I saw Natalie eying Scott the whole time," teased Charlene.
"I'm surprised you saw that, since you were drooling all over Dave," said Natalie defending herself.
"So you admit it," replied Charlene.
"So he is cute, who cares," said Natalie.
"You do," answered Charlene.
Kristin sick of hearing their cute arguments cut in, "This is so exciting, who would ever have thought that Karin would have a boyfriend. I can't believe it, I'm so happy for you! Now you have a boyfriend like me, but Jeremy is definitely cuter! " she exclaimed.
"Um, Kristin," I answered, "Jeremy is a picture hanging in your locker, that Ashley took with my camera of some guy at Y.C. when I wanted to waste film. You never even met him."
"So," she said, "He still is cuter, so what if I pretend to be going out with him." We all laughed.
"Whatever you say," I said laughing.
"The bus is here," shouted Natalie.
I got many more questions on the bus ride home, most of them were just plain silly. We had a lot of fun. What a great day it had been.

The End
