Journey to the Past

Kindergarten…

“Hey Melissa. I’ve found myself a boyfriend!” announced Dani.
“Really?” Melissa asked. “Who?”
“That boy who just walked in with Miss Suzie.” Dani pointed a paint-covered finger at their teacher.
“Who?” Melissa asked again. “Two boys are walking with Miss Suzie.”
“That one.” Dani pointed to the one wearing the purple T-shirt.
Melissa giggled. “That one? Purple is for girls!” Melissa laughed.
The 2 new boys looked at her. The one with the purple shirt frowned. “I happened to like purple!” he yelled.
“WELL EXCUSE ME!” Melissa yelled back.
“Melissa! Stop it!” Dani hissed.
“No Dani. Purple is a girlish color.” Melissa protested.
“Well what’s your favorite color?” asked the other boy that was with him. He was wearing a red and blue T-shirt.
“I like three!” Melissa said proudly.
“What are they?” the one with the red and blue shirt asked.
“Blue, Red and Green.”
“Blue and green are boy colors!” said the boy in the purple shirt.
“Whatever.” Melissa got back to her painting.
The boy in the purple shirt frowned. “What’s wrong Bobby?” asked the boy in the red and blue shirt.
“I don’t like her, Dave.” Bobby pointed to Melissa.
“Well, I do.” Dave smiled slightly.
~*~*~

“Can we play?” Melissa and Dani looked up. The two new boys, Dave and Bobby were standing in front of them. Melissa got up and looked at them both with her hands on her hips.
“Well, YOU can.” She said, smiling at Dave, “but YOU can’t!” she said, glaring at Bobby.
“Fine!” Bobby said, stomping his foot and walking away.
“Bobby!” Dave yelled. Bobby continued to walk away.
“I’ll go.” Dani said, running after Bob.

“So Dave, we’re finally alone. Tell me about yourself.” Melissa grinned.
“Err…” Dave blushed.
“Bobby! Wait for me!” Bobby turned around, tears forming in his eyes. “What do you want?” he asked, looking at Dani.
“Are you ok? Do you want to play with us?” Dani asked.
“I do, but I don’t like Melissa.”
“Well, she can be really nice. You just need to get to know her.”
“Well, from the looks of it, Dave and Melissa are getting along.” Bobby said, walking back to where Dave and Melissa were. Dani followed him.
“Sorry Bobby.” Melissa said to him. “But I still think that purple is a girl color!”

~*~*~

“Dave, will you marry me?”
Dave choked on his chocolate milk. “What?” he choked out.
“Will you marry me?” Melissa asked again. “Why?”
“Because if you say no, I’ll beat you up!” Melissa said triumphantly.
“Ok.” Dave said.
“Yea! Now, I’m Mrs. Dave Moffatt!” Melissa cried, giving Dave a tight hug, and kissing him on the lips.
“EWWW!” the whole class cried.
“Dave’s my husband now.”

“I can’t believe my little brother got married before me.” Groaned Bob.
“Is it really that bad?” Dani asked.
“Of course it’s bad! I’m older than Dave!” Bobby cried.
“It’s ok.” Dani said soothingly. She’s really smart for a 5-year-old. “I’m sure you’ll find your girl.”
“Will you marry me?” Bobby asked suddenly.
Dani’s little heart soared. “Of course!”
~*~*~ Fourth grade… ~*~*~

“Melissa, Dani, why do you hang around with Dave and Bobby so much?” asked their friend, Monica.
“Well, we’ve all known each other since kindergarten, and they’re our best friends.” Said Melissa.
“We were even married.” Added Dani.
“Can you keep a secret?” asked Monica.
“Yeah.” Said Dani.
“Well, I really, really like Clint.”
“Really?” cried Melissa.
“Shh!”
Just then, Clint, Bobby and Dave walked by.
“Hey girls!” said Clint, smiling.
“Hey!” Melissa and Dani said. Monica blushed.
Clint walked up close to Monica. “Hey.” He whispered.
“Hi.” Monica squeaked. Melissa and Dani laughed.
Recess…

“There’s Scott!” said Melissa, pointing to a tall guy playing soccer with a bunch of fifth graders.
“Hi Scott!” Dani waved.
Scott waved back and ran over. “Hey guys and gals, what’s up?”
“Nothing much.” Said Monica.
“Scott, can you teach me your killer kick?” Melissa asked.
“Sure short stuff!” Scott patted her on the back.
“Excuse me?!” Melissa demanded. Scott had an early growth spurt and he’s a head taller than the fourth graders.
“Come on!” Scott grabbed Melissa’s hand and dragged her into the soccer field to play ball with his friends.
“Go Melissa!” Monica, Dani, Dave, Bobby and Clint cheered.
Melissa ran to her ‘cheerleaders’. “Come and play!” she said happily.
“Ok!”
The fifth graders were surprised to see 6 fourth graders playing with them, but when they saw how good all of them were, they smiled and continued to play.

~*~*~ Eighth grade… ~*~*~

“But guys, you can’t go!” Melissa cried, tears forming in her eyes.
They were thirteen years old, and the Moffatts were fourteen years old. The girls grew taller and developed a feminine figure. Melissa’s 5’4”, Dani and Monica were 5’3”. They weren’t AS short anymore.
“We have to, Mel.” Dave said, giving her a hug, “This is our dream.”
“I’ll miss you. All of you.” Melissa hugged the guys. She joined Monica and Dani, who were crying beside the airplane.
“We promise to write.” Dave said sadly.
The girls nodded. They watched as the plane flew away, carrying their best friends inside.

“Have to say goodbye
Please don’t ask me why
When love is gone
Two hearts are broken
I cannot help it my love’s still alive.
When the time has come
You got to be strong
And you got to live on…
See the distant light
It’s shining so bright
And will show you the way
‘Cause the world is for you I feel,
You can make it I know you will.
‘Goodbye’ by Gil
~*~*~ Two Weeks Later…~*~*~
“Monica, would you go out with me?” Monica looked at the blond boy standing in front of him. She missed Clint terribly, but he was never hers, so she nodded.
“Sure Victor, I’d love to.”
Melissa and Dani walked down the hall. Melissa was throwing a soccer ball around. She made it to the ninth grade soccer team. They stopped short when they saw Monica and Victor standing by their lockers.
“Wow, Monica sure got over Clint fast!” Melissa said to Dani.
“I know.” Dani nodded.
Monica looked at Dani and Melissa. “Meet Victor. My new boyfriend.”
English Class…

“How can you go out to Victor so easily? You were totally crushed when Clint left.” Melissa whispered to Monica.
“Clint was never mine.” Monica said simply.
“You can’t just forget about him!” Melissa protested.
“Yes I can!” Monica said. She could feel pain inside her, but she shook it away. Clint was never hers, and he’s away. They won’t be together. Ever.
Ninth grade…

Monica and Victor had been going out for more than a year. Dani and Melissa don’t know what to do with her. She was totally into Victor and doesn’t want to hear a word about the Moffatts at all. Melissa and Dani knew that it’s unhealthy, but Monica won’t listen. She knows that Clint will never be hers.

“Melissa! You got a letter from Dave!” Melissa’s brother Trent yelled.
“Thanks Tramp!” Melissa grabbed the envelope away from her brother. His girlfriend, Angela laughed.
“Good one, Mel!” she said.
“Thanks!” Melissa grinned.
“Angela! Don’t encourage her!” groaned Trent.
Melissa laughed. She took the envelope and walked into her room, climbed on her bed and tore the envelope open.

Hey Melissa!

Life on tour is a blast. I’m having so much fun! Scott and Clint were fooling around in a mall in Scotland and fell into the fountain! Scott thinks that Scotland is named after HIM! You know, SCOTLAND? Scott? Well, he’s really clueless. Bob misses Dani so much! And you know what? Clint finally told me! He likes Monica! We have to set them up someday! Oh yeah, happy early birthday!

Miss you lots, Dave

Melissa jumped up and down. ‘Wait till Dani hears about this! Wait a minute! Monica and Victor! Oh my god, what am I gonna to do?’ she thought to herself.

“Melissa, is it true that Clint likes Monica?” Dani whispered.
“Yeah, but we can’t just break them up!” Melissa hissed. “That’ll be so mean!”
“I know, Monica will be so confused!”

Tenth grade…

“Monica, you can’t go out with Victor anymore.” Monica and Victor has been going out for more than 2 years…

Monica looked at Melissa, shocked. “What do you mean by that?”
“Clint likes you.” Melissa said simply, looking back to her Math textbook.
“Are you serious?” asked Monica.
“Yeah!”
“Excuse me, Melissa. There’s someone who’d like to speak to you.” Said Mr. Han.
“Ok.” Melissa walked out the door and was greeted by the arms of Dave Moffatt!
“Dave!” screamed Melissa. “Oh my god!”
Mr. Han stuck his head out of the classroom. “What’s the matter, Melissa?” he asked.
“Nothing. Mr. Han, this is Dave Moffatt. He’s been one of my best friends since kindergarten. He’s also in a band called The Moffatts.”
“Nice to meet you.” Dave said politely.
Mr. Han returned to the classroom.
Melissa jumped up and down. “I can’t believe you’re here!”
“I can’t believe it either!” Dave hugged her again. Melissa laughed.
She grew serious. “Dave, we have a problem. Monica has a boyfriend.”
Dave looked shocked. “Really?” he asked. “I can’t believe it.”
“Believe it.” Melissa said.
“Well, we can’t let that bother us. Bob and Dani should be coming soon.”
“How did you know what class we have?”
“We went to the office and asked. Mr. Thomas still remember us.”
“Where’s Scott and Clint?” Melissa asked.
“They’re here, but they’re at home. They said that they’re afraid to get trampled or something. Melissa laughed.
“Melissa!” Melissa turned around and saw Bob.
“Bobby!” Melissa screamed and flew into his arms, while Dani flew into Dave’s.
“I can’t believe this is happening!” Dani cried.
“Believe it. Believe it with all your heart.” Bob said, and kissed Dani on the cheek.
“I’m gonna ask Mr. Han if I could leave.” She took Dave’s hand and walked into the classroom.
Monica gasped when she saw Dave. ‘Where’s Clint?’ she wondered.
The room hushed when Dave entered the room. They all know that he’s Dave Moffatt, and that he used to go to this school. In fact, most of them knew him. While Melissa was talking to Mr. Han, Dave was chatting with his old classmates.
“How are you doing?” asked Jessica.
“I’m fine, but I’m really tired.” Dave said.
“What are you doing here?” asked Cavan.
“We’re resting, then we’re going on tour again soon.
“Do you have a girlfriend?” asked Troy.
“Not at the moment.”
“You mean Melissa isn’t your girlfriend?” asked Amber.
“No!” Dave laughed.
“Dave, let’s go.” Melissa said, and together, they walked out of the classroom. Melissa wasn’t being mean when she left the class without Monica, but she knows that Monica needs to think about what she’s gonna do.
“Dave, what the heck are you doing?” Melissa cried. Dave was turning cartwheels on the sidewalk.
“I’m so happy!” he cried, jumping up and down.
“Davey, calm down!” Melissa laughed.
Bob and Dani were walking in silence. They suddenly became shy and quiet.
“Davey, you’re so cute!” Melissa laughed as Dave swung her around.
“You’re the girl of my dreams!” Dave replied.
Melissa froze. ‘Oh my god.’ She thought.
‘Oh my god! I can’t believe I said that out loud!’ Dave cried to himself.
“I can’t believe Dave said that!” Dani said to Bob.
“Well, Dave liked her ever since seventh grade.” Bob replied.
“Really?” asked Dani surprised.
“Yeah.” Bob said.
“They make a cute couple, don’t you think?” Dani asked.
“Yeah, they’re both really hyper!” Bob laughed, tucking a strand of his hair behind his bangs. Dani laughed.
“Melissa, I,” Dave began.
“Scott!” Melissa cried, and ran to his arms. They were at the Moffatts’ house. After greeting Mrs. Moffatt, they ran into Scott. Dave sighed. Melissa has been like that for the whole trip to their house, always interrupting him.
“Melissa! Look at you! You’re not short anymore!” Scott cried. “You’re like 5’10”!” Melissa stands 5’8 ½”.
She laughed. “Thanks Scott!” she smiled. She pointed to her shoes. She was wearing platform sneakers.
“She’s really 5’8”.” Said Dani.
“And a half. Don’t you ever forget that!” Melissa said.
“Thank god!” Scott laughed. “Dani, you’ve grown too!” Dani and Monica are pretty tall too. They are both 5’7”.
“Thanks Scott!” Dani smiled.
“Where’s Monica?” asked Scott.
“She’s at school.” Said Melissa.
“You just left her there?” cried Clint, walking down the stairs.
“I’m sorry, but she has a boyfriend of 2 years.” Melissa said sympathetically.
“Oh.” Clint turned around and walked back up the stairs. Melissa followed him. She went into the room, which he shared with Dave and sat down on his bed beside him.
“Clint, I’m so sorry. I know you like her.”
“I don’t like her.” Said Clint.
“Yes you do.”
“No I don’t! Stop being such a bitch!” he snapped.
Melissa was taken aback. “I didn’t do no shit to you, except to tell you the truth, and if you’ll stop acting like a bastard, you’d know that I care and is trying to help!” she yelled, and ran out of the room. Clint sighed and covered his face with his hands.
“Clint, what the hell did you do to Melissa?” asked a voice.
Clint looked up. “Nothing, she was being an annoying bitch.”
“What the **** are you talking about? I was standing right outside and I heard everything.” Said Dave.
“Oh.”
“Yeah. Melissa’s not really talking to me. I think I freaked her out.”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, we were fooling around, and I was swinging her around. Then I said “You’re the girl of my dreams” and she froze!”
“You told her how you felt?” asked Clint.
“Yeah.”
“And she ignored you?”
Dave sighed and nodded.
“Ouch.”
“I know.”

Meanwhile…

“Your hair is so long!” Melissa said to Scott as she began to braid his hair. Dani was messing around with Bob’s hair.
“Your hair is soft.” Melissa continued.
“Hey, I got an idea! You’re on the school’s basket and soccer team, right?” asked Scott.
“Yeah.”
“Wanna show me what you’ve got?”
“Ok!” Melissa and Scott ran out of the house and into the driveway. There were tiny braids in Scott’s hair.
Dani giggled as she braided Bob’s hair into a French Braid.
“What did you do to my hair?” Bob cried.
“I dare you to keep that in the braid overnight.” Dani laughed, knowing what will happen.
“Deal.” Bob nodded.
Dave and Clint walked back into the room.
“Hey Clint!” Dani hugged him. “Feeling better?”
“Much.” Clint said, returning the hug. Dave and Clint looked at their brother.
“BOB! What the heck happened to your hair?” cried Clint, laughing.
“Dani dared me to keep my hair in a braid overnight.” Bob said.
Dave was laughing so hard to say anything. When he recovered, he looked around the room. “Where’s Melissa and Scott?”
“They’re outside, playing soccer and basketball.” Said Dani.

Dave peeked out the window…

“Wow Mel, you’re a really good player!” Scott said when Melissa scored a three pointer.
“Thanks Scott.”
The ball bounced and both Melissa and Scott went to get it, but instead they bang their heads together and fell to the ground, laughing. A strand of Melissa’s dark hair fell to her face. Scott reached out and tucked it behind her ear. There’s no affection between Melissa and Scott, and they know it. They’ve been treating each other like brother and sister ever since they’ve met. They started to laugh again.

Dave looked at the two laughing on the grass. ‘They like each other. Melissa doesn’t like me.’ He thought. He walked back to the others.
“What are they doing?” asked Clint.
“On the grass.” Dave said before heading up to his room.
The others looked at each other and walked to the window. Melissa and Scott were still laughing on the grass. In Dani, Bob and Clint’s opinion, there was nothing wrong with that. Melissa saw them looking through the window, and waved. They waved back. Melissa and Scott walked back into the house, both dripping with sweat.
“Hey guys. Hey Bob, nice hair!” Melissa and Scott said together.
“Melissa, sorry about what happened.” Said Clint.
“That’s ok.” Melissa smiled. She looked down at herself. “Yuck, I’m all sweaty.”
“Take a shower, and you can change into something of ours.” Scott offered.
“Thanks.” She looked at Bob again and started to laugh uncontrollably.
Scott grabbed her hand and pulled her up from the floor. Melissa followed Scott into his room to pick out a pair of boxers and a tee. She walked into the bathroom and took a shower.

(NOTE: On March 28, 1999, my friends Jessica and Karen and I went to the 98 Degrees autograph session, so I have 98 degrees in my head. They’re all really hot by the way!)

Dave sighed and continued to listen to his CD player. He was listening to ‘She’s out of my Life’ by 98 Degrees. It’s not his type of music, but the song seemed to fit the mood he was in. He listened to the acapella, word for word.
Ooh, she’s out of my life
She’s out of my life
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry
I didn’t know whether to live or die
And it cuts like a knife
She’s out of my life…
-By 98 Degrees

He was interrupted by a knock on the door. Dave turned around. It was Dani.
“Hey Dan, what’s up?” he asked, turning off his CD player.
“What are you listening to?” she asked, opening his CD player, revealing the red and yellow CD. “98 Degrees…Melissa loves them.”
“Really.” Said Dave with no feeling.
“You should know that already. Her 3 favorite bands are *N Sync, 98 Degrees and The Moffatts.” Said Dani. “98 degrees… She dragged me and Monica to get their autograph, and we stood in line for 5 hours!”
“Oh.”
“And she squeezed Nick’s hand, and he squeezed it back! Of all people, she chose to squeeze Nick Lachey’s hand!”
“Wow.”
“Dave, why are you being so difficult?” demanded Dani.
“Because she likes Scott.” Said Dave.
“I happen to know that isn’t true. Melissa and Scott are just friends.”
“No,” Dave shook his head sadly, “they’re not.”
“Melissa, Dani, I talked to your parents, and they let you two sleep over today.” Announced Sheila.
“That’s great!” exclaimed Melissa.
“It’s spring break, maybe the boys can sleep over at our house sometimes.” Suggested Dani.
“That’s fine.” Sheila said, smiling. “Frank and I could be alone.” The girls grinned at each other.
Melissa was sitting on the couch beside Scott, wearing a pair of Scott’s puppy dog boxers and his matching puppy dog tee.
Dave sighed when he saw what she was wearing. ‘What happened to our friendship? She usually wears my clothes.’ Dave thought sadly.
Dani and Bob walked into the room. Dani was wearing Bob’s purple boxers and an ‘I LOVE FOOTBALL’ tee. Bob’s hair was still in a French Braid. Melissa started to laugh at the sight of Bob again.
“What are you laughing at?” Bob demanded, his hands on his hips.
Melissa giggled. “You look like a girl.”
Bob blushed. He pointed an accusing finger at Dani. “It’s all her fault!”
Everyone laughed. Bob threw a pillow at Melissa. Melissa threw the pillow back and hit Scott. Scott jumped and started to tickle Melissa. Dani, Clint and Bob were throwing pillows at each other. Dave…well, he sat in the corner and watched as his older brother tickle the girl that he loves…

~*~*~

“Monica, do you want to go to the beach with me? We can just walk and look at the ocean.”
Monica smiled. “Sure Victor. See you in 10 minutes.”
“Bye honey.” Victor hung up.
Monica sighed. She and Victor had been going out for a long time now, and she loves him dearly, but when Melissa told her that Clint likes her…she doesn’t know what to do.

Monica walked out the door to the beach. Victor was already waiting for her at their meeting place; the huge rocks by the ocean. Victor walked up to her and gave her a soft kiss on the lips. Monica sighed.
“Monica?” Victor asked with concern. “What’s the matter?”
Monica told all. She told Victor how she felt about Clint, and how he’s back home…

Victor nodded his head. “I understand, but you have to remember this: I love you, and I won’t let anyone hurt you.” He wrapped both arms around her and together the watched the sunset.

~*~*~

“Monica is not home right now Melissa. She’s out with Victor.” Said Monica’s older sister, Rebecca.
“Thanks Bec.” Melissa said and hung up the phone.
“Well?” asked Dani.
“Monica is…out.” Melissa said, looking straight at Dani.
Dani nodded.
“So, what should we do now?” Asked Bob. It was only 8 'o clock and everyone was sitting on the carpet in the basement, bored.
“Let’s watch Titanic!” Announced Dani.
The boys groaned.
“It’s either that or *N Sync *N the Mix.” Said Melissa.
“Titanic it is!” said Scott, putting the video in the VCR.
“Leo is so hot.” Dani said dreamily.
“Hey!” protested Bob. “What about me?”
“What about US?” asked Scott.
“You guys are cute too.” Said Melissa; her eyes glanced at Dave. She caught his eyes for a second, then turned away.
“Wait a minute, let’s not watch Titanic yet. Let’s play truth or dare.” Suggested Clint.
“Ok.” Everyone agreed.
“I’ll go first.” Said Bob. “Clint, truth or dare?”
“Dare.” Clint replied.
“I dare you to stick 10 ice cubes down your shirt and keep it there until it melts.”
“Ok.” Clint went to the freezer and returned with 10 ice cubes. He stuck them down his shirt one by one.
“YIKES! IT’S COLD!!!!” he cried. Everyone laughed.
“Dani, truth or dare?” asked Clint, shivering from the cold.
“Truth.”
“Who do you have a crush on?”
“Bob.”
Bob and Dani blushed.
“Melissa, truth or dare?” asked Dani.
“Dare.”
“I dare you…oh shoot, I was expecting you to say ‘truth’…”
“I know.” Melissa grinned.
“Oh, I got it…I dare you to admit that you like Dave…to his face.”
Melissa and Dave’s faces went pale.
Melissa walked up to Dave and sat down in front of him. She took his hands in hers. “Dave, I’ve had a crush on you since…a long time ago.” She leaned in close and kissed him on the cheek. Dave looked at her with teary eyes. He leaned over and kissed her.
“So you and Scott aren’t…together?” Dave asked after they finished their kiss.
“NO!” Scott and Melissa cried.
“Scott’s like another older brother to me.” Melissa said, snuggling up to Dave. She looked at Scott. “Truth or Dare?”
“Dare.”
“I dare you to sing a song from Aaron Carter.”
“I hate you.” Scott laughed.
“Pick a song and start singing.” Said Melissa wickedly.
“I really hate you.”
“Pick a song or I’ll pick it for you.”
“I really, really hate you!”
“Crazy little party girl.”
Scott sighed. “Crazy little party girl, how I love her. Partying around the world she wants to dance…” Everyone laughed as Scott finished the song.
“Dave, truth or dare?” asked Scott.
“Truth.”
“Did you really think that Melissa and I like each other?”
“Yea.”
“You are so stupid!” cried Scott.
“Well, you two looked like you liked each other.” Dave said.
“Bob, truth or dare?”
“Dare.”
“Hmm… I know Dani will like this…um, Bob, go and kiss Dani.”
“Ok.” Bob leaned over and kissed her. They blushed.
“You know, let’s dance!” Melissa said, running to their CD player and looked through their stack of CDs.
“Hey, you still have the *N Sync CD I got you!”
“Don’t play that!” everyone cried.
“Okay.” Melissa rolled her eyes. She picked up a 98 Degrees CD and turned to ‘The Hardest Thing’. Then Melissa walked up to Dave and grinned.
“Wanna dance?”
“Sure!” Dave got up and wrapped his arms around her waist. Melissa wrapped her arms around his neck and together they swayed back and forth. Dani and Bob got up and started to dance too. Scott and Clint looked at each other, grinned and started to dance too!

Clint woke up in the middle of the night. He got off of the floor and looked around. Scott was sleeping on the couch, Bob and Dani were snuggling on the floor and Dave and Melissa were asleep on the other couch. Clint walked into the kitchen and took a drink of water. He looked out the kitchen window and saw Monica’s bedroom light on across the backyards.

“Monica’s awake.” Clint murmured to himself. He took a jacket from the closet and began to walk to Monica’s house. Walked through the gate connected to their backyards and started to climb the stairs to her balcony. He knew that he’s gonna freak her out, but he decided to take a chance. ‘God, I hope her boyfriend isn’t in there with her.’ He thought as he reached the top of the stairs.

Clint peeked through the glass window and sighed with relief when he saw Monica reading a book on her bed. He knocked on the door. Monica looked up, startled. She walked to the door and opened it.

“What are you doing here?” she asked. Clint listened to the song playing from her stereo. It was ‘Don’t Walk Away’ by The Moffatts.

“How are you?” Clint asked softly.
“What are you doing here?” Monica asked again.
“I came to say hi.”
“Well hello, and goodbye.” Monica led him to the door.
“Monica, wait.” Clint turned around. “I’ve missed you.”
Monica sighed. “I’ve missed you too, but in case you didn’t know, I…”
“You have a boyfriend, I know.”
“And I love him.”
Clint was taken aback. “Well, I hope you two will have a perfect life together.” He turned and walked onto the balcony, down the stairs and back into the house.

“I’d give you anything, anything
If you would be mine
I’d give the stars above, and all my love
How can you be so blind, so blind,
I’m going out of my mind
All the time, for you
Yes it’s true
If you only knew, that I’m crazy for you
Then you’d understand.
If I only knew, what you’re going through
Then I’d understand.
Now I know that I, have no chance
Oh, to make you mine
But it I owned the world, you would be my girl
How can you be so blind, so blind,
I’m going out of my mind,
All the time, for you,
Yes it’s true…”

“OH MY GOD!” Clint rubbed his eyes and sat up. Bob was screaming from the bathroom. Scott, Dave, Clint, Melissa and Dani looked at each other. Then Melissa and Dani burst into giggles.
“What?” asked Dave.
“Bob’s hair! He’s got it in a braid overnight and it’s going to be FRIZZY!” Melissa laughed.
Bob walked out of the bathroom, and everyone burst out laughing. Bob’s hair looked as if lightning struck him! He walked up to Dani.
“I can’t believe you did this to me!” he cried.
Dani laughed. “Take a shower and use this shampoo.” She said, taking a bottle out of her bag.
“You keep a bottle of shampoo in your bag?” asked Dave.
“All the time!” added Melissa.
Bob grabbed the shampoo and ran back into the bathroom. Half an hour later, his hair was back to normal.
“I can’t believe you guys are leaving already!” Melissa said, sniffling.
“Don’t cry. We’ll be back in 2 months, and you’re always gonna be on my mind.” Said Dave.
“That is so sweet.”
“See you all in 2 months!” Dani said after giving Bob a goodbye kiss.

Part Two 1
