Here is the prototype game board and screen furled up, along side the pieces, which are made of nickels with paper glued onto them.

The two boards are made from cardboard, with 4 printouts from an inkjet printer (From this page) glued onto them. The hinge, and edges of the boards are just black duct tape. The screen is also just 3 slats of cardboard connected together and edged with black duct tape.
I made a new prototype with fancier artwork, using plastic
discs for pieces with inkjet printed labels, and stones I
found on the railroad tracks for "asteroids."
