| URBAN SCARECROW After a run in with the local ruffian, Wes is taken by his young father Frank to live in a motel located somewhere between city and suburbia. Their new home rests on a drag that runs through the ruins of failed commercialism: abandoned buildings, parks without grass, and empty car lots. Frank, a working class hero who's hoping to strike it rich as a stand-up comic, attempts to school Wes in the subject of protecting one's individuality.
