~Copy & Paste Page~

Master-Duncs Master-Duncs

On this page we are going to learn how to copy & paste.

If you have a printer, print these instructions out. If not you might want to copy them on a piece of paper as a reference.

The buttons used for copy/paste are:
(cmd) and the (a) button: This highlights all text on a page so it can be copied.
If you dont want to copy an entire page, just a few lines or a few words, hold the (shift button) down and move your arrow buttons. The up and down arrow buttons highlight entire lines. The left and right arrow buttons highlight the words you want to copy.
(cmd) and the (c) button: This copies the text you have highlighted.
(cmd) and the (v) button: Once you have copied your text, hit this to paste the copied text to your e-mail or signature box.
First let's learn how to copy & paste a URL address.

To begin with.

~STEP ONE~

The easy way!

Hit your go to button (located at the top right of your keyboard), a grey box will appear, then hit your down arrow button (located at the lower right of your keyboard) until show last is highlighted.
Click on the show last button and a URL address will appear.
When the URL address appears, hold down on the command (cmd) button (located in the lower left of your keyboard) then click the (a) button the entire URL address will glow green. Then hold the command (cmd) button (located in the lower left of your keyboard) down and hit the (c) button (If your volume is up on your TV you will hear a clicking noise, that let`s you know that it copied your text).
After you copied the URL address, click on your mail button of your keyboard (located at the top center of your keyboard).
When your mail menu appears, go to write a message, when your e-mail page comes up, go to where you normally write a message.
Once there, hold down on the command button and hit the v button only once.
What you have copied should appear on your e-mail.

~STEP TWO~

A little harder but great practice.

Hit your go to button (located at the top right of your keyboard), a grey box will appear, then hit your down arrow button (located at the lower right of your keyboard) until show last is highlighted.
Click on the show last button and a URL address will appear.
When the URL address appears, find the cursor (the little blinking line), then hold down on the shift button (located at the bottom left of your keyboard) while holding the shift button down, press the left arrow button (located at bottom right of your keyboard).
You will see the cursor moving from right to left and a green glow will appear behind the cursor. Let the cursor go all the way until it stops.
Once the cursor stops, the entire http:// address should be glowing green. Then release the shift and left arrow button.
Then hold down your command (cmd) button (located in lower left corner of your keyboard) while holding the command button down, push the c button (If your volume is up on your TV you will hear a clicking noise, that let`s you know that it copied your text).

Now it's your turn.

Put your own e-mail address in the address box of your e-mail.
Then send it to yourself.
When you receive the e-mail back, click to open it and once it is open you will see the URL address in blue.
Click on the URL address, it should carry you back to the page you copied.

Now try it on this page.

This will also apply to your e-mail signature box.
Instead of going to your ( e-mail ) write message page, just go to your signature box.
Once your in the signature box, hit the command and v buttons to place the URL address in your signature box.
Once you see the URL address, just add the code for the midi, gif or background you wish to use.......

READY TO TRY COPYING SOME HARD TEXT?
Hard text is text like on e-mail that you recieve or like on a page that someone already wrote, like this page that I wrote.

To copy & paste hard text start by choosing what lines of text you want to copy, for example you want to copy (Ready to try copying some hard text) all you have to do is click on the find button (located at the top right center of your keyboard) a grey box will appear that says find word.
In the grey box type the first word of the text you wish to copy, for example our word is
(ready), then click return.
It should carry you to the word
(ready) if you look closely you will see the word (ready) is highlighted, The next thing you do is hold your shift button down, then if you want to copy an entire line you push the down arrow button (located at the lower right of your keyboard) while holding the shift button.
If you want to copy just a few words hold the shift button, then hold either the right or left arrow buttons,
The text you want to copy should highlight as the cursor moves across the screen.
When you get to the place you wish to stop, just release the shift and arrow buttons and click and hold the command button then click the c button,(as above if your TV volume is turned up you will hear a clicking noise, that let`s you know that you have copied the text you wanted to copy). Then all you have to do is go to your (e-mail) write message page or your signature box and hold the command button and press the v button, it should appear on screen, if you did it right.
Sometimes it takes a little practice to get it, so keep trying if you don`t get it the first time.
Oh yeah, remember the more you copy & paste the better you will get.

~NOTE~
Sometimes when you use the (find) button there may be more than one of the words you want to copy, for example say you want to start copying (ready) on the third paragraph but there is a (ready) on the first paragraph, all you have to do is when the cursor goes to the wrong place, just hold the command button down and hit the g button until the cursor highlights the word you want to start copying.

I hope this page has helped you.
I tryed to make it as easy as I could.
If you found this page easy to understand e-mail me and let me know. Copy & paste can be a little hard at first, but once you learn a couple of different ways you`ll get the hang of it.
