The Lull of Detroit Road Trip...
The trip from Buffalo to Detroit was uneventful exept for the custom inspector asking what concert we were going to see.
When we said "The Hip", he kind of smiled and said, "oh". The traffic on I75 leading to Pine Knob was bumper to bumper
due to construction but it was clearly evident that we all had the same destination - The Hip.
We were disappointed once we got to our seats - row PP, that was not going to do. We needed to be able to see Gord
sweat, the pinstripe of his 3 piece suit, read the sign of "God" he wore around his neck and see Paul smile. We started our
decient finally managing to make it to the stage!!!!!! (the first set of pics show how far away we were, then they get better and
better, closer and closer). The band sounded fabulous - Gord's voice was strong, all the songs were great, but we gotta say
he was not very animated this evening - - except when Gord rode the mike stand to the point that it was bent in half!!!! It was
a great show and we can't wait until Darien Lake....Will have more pics of that toooo.... the best one is number 15... ride em
cowboy!!!!! We got a set list toooo...
