Bread For The Body
Slice five.
Every so often our whole family goes out for a movie. Mom thought it up to bring us closer... or something.
Actually, I dreaded these days. Two parents, four normal kids and three famous ones make nine people. The three famous ones alone will get people's attentions. Them together with six other lookalikes will attract even more. Some brave onlookers even come up to us and mention what a big family we have. As if we didn't realize! And, it always so happens that I see my friends or people my age... you know, potential friends. Yep, so when they see me they think I'm so cool. Sarcasm.
Don't think I'm ashamed of my family,... it's just... oh, I don't know!
We walked into Cinema 2 for our movie. I ended up sitting next to Ike and Jess. Because we were early, the lights hadn't actually dimmed yet.
I saw a young couple smoochin' and shook my head in disgust. Aren't they meant to wait for the lights to go out?!
Jess saw what I was seeing and pointed it out to Avie, so the giggling started. One thing led to another and soon they were in hysterics.
Personally, I must've missed the punch line.
They're laughing so loudly!
I knew I wasn't the only one thinking that because the smoochers stopped their smoochin' and turned to eye us.
Immediately the girls stopped giggling and stared straight ahead at the blank movie screen.
My guts dropped a foot. It was that guy and that cute girl I kept on bumping into! Why do they always turn up, everywhere I go?!
There was a slight chance the two hadn't seen me yet so I picked up the whole popcorn box and held it right in front of my face, pretending to read some ads on it. After a safe amount of time, I peered from behind the box.
WHAT?! The guy was still facing us, facing me. And he was smiling! I slowly handed the popcorn to Jess and stared ahead at the screen, just like she had done when she saw that guy looking at her. Out of the corner of my eye, I was keenly watching and hoping for him to turn back around. And he did, when the lights dimmed.
Suddenly the movie scene of Scream 2 flashed through my mind. The one where the lady is stabbed to death.
No way. NO WAY! Zac stop thinking like that!!
I was getting goosebumps everywhere. Then for some unknown reason, I ever so slightly, leaned closer to Isaac.
****
The movie finally ended. I wanted to get out of this cinema quick smart! The idea of that guy so close, gave me the creeps.
I would've ran all the way to our van but Isaac HAD to go pee. Couldn't he wait?! Just hold it Ikey! Tie your thing with string, I don't care. I just want to get home, now!
Althought I was thinking a lot, I hadn't said anything so Ike just made his way to the toilet.
"I'm going too," I said to Mom.
For some reason, Isaac made me feel safe against this guy. So I was sticking with him, even if it meant hearing him 'go dunny'.
He walked to a urinal and I stuck close to him. Uh huh, I mean... really close. I wasn't taking any chances.
"Zac! What are you doing?! Can't a guy piss in peace?!!"
So I settled for the urinal next to his. Then he had to go move to the one on the end. I followed him to the one next to it.
"ZAC!"
I guess he just gave up and let me stay there, even though I had no need to go.
I heard a door swing open from a toilet and saw the reflexion of the person through the mirror.
"Hi... Zac," said the guy, I was getting to know so well.
Letting out a muffled sqeak, I suddenly had an urge to pee.
This makes sense doesn't it?... I came into the rest room when I didn't need to pee but ran out of it when I really was busting.
Slice six...
