ROBBIE*S CHILDHOOD Robert Peter Maximillian Williams was born in New-Castle-Under-Lyme, february 13th 1974, which makes him 25 years old.He grew up in Stoke-On-Trent (located near Manchester, England)with his mum, Teresa Jeanette and his older sister Sally. They lived in a apartment above Jeanette's pub, "The Red Lion". Robbie's parents divorced when he was little. His father is an english comedian, his name is Peter Conway.
Robbie has always liked football. It started when he was a little kid, and went to see matches on the Port Vale FC grounds. Port Vale is still his fave team:)
Robbie has always been the entertainer. As a kid, he loved performing at family dinners, and in his mum's pub.Everybody knew him, and as he says;" In my own mind, I have always been famous":) In the age of 12, he got the part as The artful dodger in the musical "Oliver", and he was in several other plays, those years.

THE TAKE THAT YEARS When he finished school, aged 16, he had absolutely no idea what to do with his life. Although, he'd always wanted to be famous. One day, his mum saw an ad in the local newspaper about some guys who were looking for a fifth member to a boyband. He felt he had nothing to lose, and went to the audition...he did obviously a great job, cos he got picked out from 2000 others who went to the audition too:) Now he was in a band with four guys, Mark, Gary, Jason and Howard Donald, who called themselves Take That.Tey were good looking and talented, but no record company wanted them. Luckily, their mamager Nigel Martin-smith didn't gave up. He started his own record company, and in 1990 Take That's first single, " Do What you Like" was released. It only went to number 82 on the litst, but it got TT the attention they needed. Their next single;"Promises" reached nr.38 and gave them hope."Once You've tasted Love" dissapointed them, landing on nr.42. But they kept going, and after a few more singles ( "I found Heaven"nr.15,"A million Lovesongs" nr 7, "Could It be Magic"nr.3, "why can't I wake Up with You" nr.2),they finally reached the top with "Pray". and that was just the first of many number one's to come, to be exact, 9 ones |

SOLO ROBBIE Rob left the group in July 1995. I can't say anything about it, cos only he and the rest of Take That knows the truth. Robbie says he got kicked out, while the others say he left on his own. Anyway, in 1996 he releases a cover of George Michael's "Freedom". He's hosting that years MTV europe music awards, and performing at Gianni Versace's fashion show. But everything was not as it seemed. Robbie's was on drugs, and had a hard time getting writh of his drinking addictions. He got help from Elton John. In 1997 he releases the singles "Lazy Days", "South of the Border",and "Old before I die", from the album "Life thru A lens" ,who reaches number 2 in the charts. But it is when the song "Angels" is released his succes is confirmed. Since then he has released the album "I've been expecting you", where the hitsingles "Millennium", "No regrets" and "Strong" comes from.
I guess most of you guys out there knows, so I want get more into details what he's up to right now. I've told his story very briefly ( as you can see) so if you think I should write more, please e-mail me! |
