Set 2
So, the night before, the sports editor for my paper is still home sick, so I do his section. I leave my office at 5am. At 9am I'm back in the office ready to go on a photo shoot of this newly renovented building. I finished, convert the photos, lay them out and leave for to pack. Meanwhile since the night before I've been throwing up and have these throbbing headaches.
So around 3pm I'm on my way down to the city. Around 7pm, I get there. I even get a parking in 5mins like half a block from the club! So I walk up to the doorway. Sign says show sold out. I felt like some just burning all of Melvins albums and replacing them with brittany spears and the backstreet boys. I didn't just drive 4 hours for nothing. I wait around with the other 15 people looking for tickets. I start thinking that this is hopeless. But then Dale walks out and walks amongst people. I get a sense of hope. I'm determined to get inside of there. Just then, some black guy comes up to me. He's shaking for some weird reason. I think he's some crackhead who's going to ask me what's the line's for. Instead he asks me if I want to buy a ticket that he can't wait for his friend anymore. He gives me the $12 ticket for $10. I was exstatic!
I go in and held straight for the merch table. The guy says that the Melvins haven't spoken about any official webpage yet. I picked up both of the new shirts and both stickers. I didn't have enough for the doll.
The band came on in their camo skirts and then Buzz talked for 10 mins. and introduced everyone in the band. Apparently Dave officially got fired from his other band.
