Bayshore, NY at Da Funky Phish

Opening act: Professor Plum Entourage: Bill
We get a little lost but we finally find Da Funky Phish. It’s a cute modern looking bar. It’s somewhat respectable as far as bars go. Bill and I are so exhausted that we don’t say a word for an hour. We just stare at the huge breasted cute bartender in a tube top. We were trying not to be so obvious but everyone else was staring too. She's just showing tem off to get tips.
Professor Plum comes on. They are ok so we just continue to sit at the bar and stare at the bartender. The bartende was more entertaining.
Finally the Scofflaws come on stage. Bill has raved to me how good they are and they were everything he said they were. We’ve played their songs on our radio show before. Besides, Sammy the lead singer, was bill’s bus driver in high school. I was totally amazed. They played everything, ‘Man with a golden arm’, ‘Spider in my Bed’, ‘Nude Beach’, Peewee excerpt, ‘After the Lights’, ‘Back Door Open’, ‘Hot Rats’ (Frank Zappa cover), "William Shatner’, At the beginning of the show, Buford was so drunk that he fell off the stage. It was one of the best ska shows I’ve ever seen. That and their were only like 20 people at the show. Sammy was impressed that I know the words to "Hot Rats." Apparently most people are uncultured when it comes to Frank Zappa or any music outside of their genre. After the show, we went to White Castle and then dropped Bill off at home. I got home at 4:30 am.
