Punk Show

Binghamton, NY at the Strike Zone
April 25, 1999
3:00 P.M.

Bands that performed:
A Satellite Crash, Matto and the Phlegm Chuckers, Your Adversary, Anti Product, Atom & his Package
Entourage: Bill, Ashley, Melissa, Kristen (and we met up with Melissa's friend)

I thought the show started at one. So we got there really early about a hour early. It was not too bad cause we ended up speaking to Atom of Atom & his Package. A really cool guy. We bullshitted with him for a little while about alot of different stuff.

A Satellite Crash opened the sunny sunday afternoon. They were pretty cool. Their sound keep cutting out, especially in the vocals (not their fault, the PA sucked ass).

Matto and the Phlegm Chuckers were awesome. They were a cross between Primus and the Melvins, if you can only imagine that. The bassist is nuts running around the stage, flopping around on the floor. They were great. Don't remember the setlist but the second song was 10 mins long and the alien song was third. I talked to them after the show and they were happy to see that people showed up, the night before they played Woodstock and 6 people showed up! I picked up their 7" and I got a swell pin too. I would definitely go see this band again. (***That means CHECK THEM OUT!***)
Review of another show by them.

I missed both Your Adversary and Anti Product, I feel asleep in my car. I had stayed up til 7am that morning so I was kinda tired. I figured I should take a nap since I had to drive back.

Atom & his Package is a resurrection of Devo. He stands up there with his syntherzier and sings retarded songs. It's stupid, ballsy and genius all at the same time. Not one dull song. He opened the show by thanking us the people from Cortland for talking to him and for showing up (that's me, bill, ashley and melissa.) He played his Punk Rock Academy song which seems to be an anthem for punkers already. He also did his Metric Song which was pretty hilirious.
