Here is a little explantion why there are bootleg Fecal Matter tapes/MP3s
floating around. And since there are a lot of newbies since 1998, I guess I
should explain.

Early in 1998, the website, FMQ, ("Fecal Matter Quest" which later became "the
happening", http://www.digitalnirvana.net/happening/),
supposedly found the tape. They circulated the tape to all of it's
members. I kinda
had a feeling that it was a fake, but just to make sure, I gave Dale a copy
in hopes that he would clear up any confusion.

He never responsed.

My suspinions were further raised when the 'Kurt and Courtney' movie came out.
Kurt's aunt plays a two second clip of Dale Crover hitting the drums. This
sounded nothing like anything on the tape.

Later on, it was determined that the tape was a fake. Someone had made the
tape for fun and the joke got carried out of hand I guess.

The tape and all of the songs circulating are FAKE. The real Fecal Matter has
yet to surface.
