THE CASKETT LOTTERY - "Lost at Sea/A Priest Walks Into a Bar"

People are starting to tout these guys as the replacement for Braid. I can't really hear that myself.  Maybe I'm just dumb. But anyway, the Caskett Lottery seem to be just a bit mellower - at least on this outing anyway - and a lot more mathy. There's a lot of time changes and shit in this, but it the same time it's really laid back. Smooth. Niiiiiice. This is some fine rock and roll. And really, it's status. How can you go wrong?

Two breathtaking songs, rad layout, nice production, cool marble vinyl, rad lyrics: "No wonder I curse like a goddamn sailor". It's like REM, in that everyone can enjoy this record.

7 inch, 2 songs.
