HUSKER DU - "Candy Apple Grey" This was released in 1986 - Setback, bringing you the LATEST in music! If you're into this sort of music you're probably aware that 'don't want to know if you're lonely' is an absolute classic. A classic snubfighter now murder live. But that song rocks so fine. And with this whole recroding, the rock and roll is perfect. The rock and roll is fine. I bought this CD in a momnet of boxing day sale insanity, just for that song, but it's not even really the stand out track. Grant Hart and Bob Mould were both great songwriters, each with their own distinct styles that somewhat complimented the other. Each song stands out well on it's own, but they also work well as a whole. The art on this sucks though. But that could be because it's a reissue CD. Really, this is just the quintessential mid 80s punk rock album. I know it sounds lame, but it's a classic. Even if you're not really into this stuff, it's worth a listen at least. Because a lot of the rad stuff we take for granted today was directly influenced by this band 10 songs, CD. |
