The band's first release BATALLIONS OF FEAR, as well as the second, FOLLOW THE BLIND, featured a sound very similar to that of HELLOWEEN.Although, since the group's third album, the great TALES FROM THE TWILIGHT WORLD,

Their unique style began to develop.Since that album their grandiloquent somehow epic music began to take shape.

That album included the magnificent ballad LORD OF THE RINGS and the great power metal pieces LOST IN THE TWILIGHT HALL ( with the very special guest KAI HANSEN ) and TRAVELLER IN TIME.

The Tolkien-like tematics of their lyrics and their cover art became a trademark, as well as their uncommon sound, a mix of baroque music with heavy tunes, soft vocals contrasting with heavy ones.

In 1991 the band signed up VIRGIN RECORDS and released their best album until then:SOMEWHRE FAR BEYOND.That album featured the fantastic BARD'S SONG, the great THEATER OF PAIN, TIME WHAT IS TIME and the titletrack itself.

In 1993 the band, as many others, released a live album recorded in Japan:TOKYO TALES.The band's next studio release would happen only in 1995.

1995.This year the fans saw the release of IMAGINATIONS FROM THE OTHER SIDE, which featured the music which made the band known by many:BRIGHT EYES.There were also other great tunes,like MORDRED'S SONG.

In 1996 the band released an album featuring new versions from old songs and some covers, THE FORGOTTEN TALES.

In 1998 the band released their most ambitious album ever:NIGHTFALL IN MIDDLE EARTH.This was a concept album based upon J.R.R. TOLKIEN'S "THE SILMARILLION".
