The band released their first EP, entitled "HELLOWEEN" in early 85.Later that year the band released their first LP WALLS OF JERICHO, featuring KAI HANSEN on the vocals.

These albuns featured the young vocalist MICHAEL KISKE (18 years old at the time), considered to be one of the most powerful voices in heavy metal.That was the gold line-up of the band.

But that line-up wouldn't last too long.After the PUMPKINS FLY FREE tour (KEEPER II tour), the genius KAI HANSEN left the band, forming GAMMA RAY.The band's next studio release would be the poor PINK BUBBLES GO APE.

In 1993 the band released their worst album ever:CHAMELEON.After that album the vocalist MICHAEL KISKE left the band to pursue a solo career.

In the next year the band released MASTER OF THE RINGS, with ANDI DERIS replacing KISKE.Although that wasn't a great album, it included some great music, contrasting with poor ones.That wasn't the album the fans expected,

but at least, it showed that there was light at the end of the tunnel.In 1996 the band released their best album since KEEPER II:THE TIME OF THE OATH.That albun placed again the band amongst the major forces of heavy metal.

1998.This year the band finally released the album the fans were expecting since KEEPER II:BETTER THAN RAW.The best album of the current line-up, and besides the KEEPER albuns the best of the band.Long live the best metal band in the world!!!

THE EARLY YEARS

This was the first HELLOWEEN LP to be released.The sound is still very primitive, but most of helloween's trademarks are already present here.The line-up at the time featured HANSEN on vocals (which are extremely poor).

THE CLASSIC ERA

This album, as well as it's sequel stand as the most important album ever on the power metal genre.With the addition of KISKE to the vocals and a most elaborate sound the band stabilished themselves as the greatest power metal band of all time.

This album, as it's sucessor, brought the power metal genre to the great public, through classic songs as HALLOWEEN, A LITTLE TIME, TWILIGHT OF THE GODS and others.Don't you have it? GET IT NOW!

This album was a worthy sequel to its's predecessor:it brought to the world more all-time power metal classics, as the titletrack itself, the magnificent I WANT OUT, EAGLE FLY FREE, DR.STEIN, WE GOT THE RIGHT, and many more.

Many consider this one to be superior to part one, in part for the bigger number of hits, but the fact is that as well as part one this is not just a great album.IT'S A NECESSARY ONE! GET IT NOW!

This is live album recorded during the KEEPER II tour (PUMPKINS FLY FREE TOUR), and features the gold line up proving why this band is the greatest.A little too short in lenght, but great in quality!

THE EMI YEARS

Hansen's gone.The dark years had begun.This album was the first of the line-up KISKE/WEIKATH/GRAPOW/SWITCHENBERG/GROSSKOPF, wich lasted about three years.If you listen to this LP and it's sucessor it's easy to guess why.

This album is incredibly poor if compared to any of the KEEPER albuns.It's plain the damage done to the group by HANSEN's departure.Even KISKE's vocals are not the same here.

The cataclism.HELLOWEEN's worst album ever had been released.In this album almost all the compositions are REALLY poor.The exceptions are the fabulous GIANTS, and the good I BELIEVE.And that's all.This was KISKE's last album with the band.

THE DERIS ERA

The DERIS era begins here.This was the first album of the current line-up (DERIS/WEIKATH/GRAPOW/KUSCH/GROSSKOPF.This album was pretty reasonable, not as good as the KEEPERS, not as poor as PINK BUBBLES and CHAMELEON.

In fact this album is really curious:it's first half features great songs, and it's second one features poor ones.Anyway, this album includes some new classics as SOLE SURVIVOR, WHERE THE RAIN GROWS, PERFECT GENTLEMAN and MR EGO.

Their best album since the KEEPER albuns.Almost all the songs are great, and the band finally released a great album since HANSEN's departure.Here you'll find POWER, MISSION MOTHERLAND, BEFORE THE WAR, KINGS WILL BE KINGS and the titletrack.

This is a live album recorded during the TIME OF THE OATH tour, and features songs taken from MASTER OF THE RINGS and TIME OF THE OATH, as well as new versions of

EAGLE FLY FREE, DR.STEIN and FUTURE WORLD.Great live album.Differently from the other live album of the band, recorded on clubs, this one was recorded on arenas.

The time has come.Finally the band released the album that their fans were expecting since KEEPER II.This album is simply EXCELLENT.All tracks are GREAT, and there are no poor ones.This one includes I CAN, FALLING HIGHER, REVELATION, MIDNIGHT SUN...
