Nightwish began back in 1996, when Tuomas, Tarja and Emppu composed and recorded their first three songs, which were completely acoustic songs.Later, their sound evolved with the addition of drums, bass and guitar, and they recorded in april 1997 their first LP: Angels Fall First.Their magnificent style began to take shape in this great debut.In 1998 the band released their second Lp:the notorious Oceanborn. The Band presents a symphonic power metal with a soprano in the vocals, what makes their music sound unique, with beauty compositions like WALKING IN THE AIR contrasting with the symphonic grandeur and speed of songs like STARGAZERS.
