You put on the headphones and listen to the player:

"Hello! I'm Alex."

"And I'm Archie."

"He's Archie, and if you're hearing this, then that means that we're dead!"

"Oh damn."

"Well, sort of. We may have been partially recreated in human bodies, but they are clones of our real, now deceased selves. Anyway, you should be our last, best hope for peace. You know, I can't believe I said that. Now, the device Archie's disintegrating corpse is modelling so beautifully..."

"Thank you, Alex."

"...Is a dimensional transporter. You can set your co-ordinates and control the systems by the control panel on the bottom."

You look for this control panel, but it has been blown off in an explosion.

"And the big red button on the side activates it. This will enable you to find Anarch, and also to destroy her, if you use it correctly. We didn't find that bit out in time, if we're lying here. It is vitally important that you do not use the transporter now. If you do, then you will be beyond our protection. You see, in spite of our violent death before the adventure even began, when Anarch struck us down we became more powerful than she could possibly imagine. Conceal the transporter on your person and then make your way to St Johns. You will receive further instructions there."

The message ends in a crackle of static. You look around bewildered. You could go to St Johns as Alex commanded, or you could press the button anyway, or decide to forget the whole thing and go and walk along the High Street.
