Rocket Racket is a Mom
& Pop record label that specializes in unique, mostly power-pop artists
and produces small-run releases on cassette, vinyl, and/or CD. The label's
proprietor, producer, and primary artist is Christopher Earl. He goes way
back here in Rochester, NY, with various R&B, R&R, and pop bands.
This site was created by a fan of Rocket Racket Records with Chris' permission.
I do know Chris and know that he is motivated by pursuit of fun and (pop)
art. Heck, I suppose he can make his real money mowing lawns! Anyway, most
of these recordings are made on a shoestring with relatively low-tech studio
tricks. They are, however, very cool!
