Chapter 20: Not Exactly A Walk in the Park
Taylor watched the three teens skipping rocks. He was now going to get them back, and his underwear of course.
"I think I'm bored now" Zac said and threw a rock across the lake. "Oh yeah…" Alanis said and lazily threw a rock in the water. Zac picked up a rock and examined it. "Not good for skipping" he said and threw it into the bushes.
"Ow, ow, ow, OW!" Taylor said and held his head.
"What was that?" Divia said and looked up. "A squirrel probably" Alanis said with a sigh. Divia nodded. "What time is it Zac?"
"Almost 4am"
"That was cruel what you did to that cat, Zac"
"I gave it a new set of clothes, so what?"
"Well I guess you do have clothes to give. You look like a circus freak." Alanis said with a grin. Zac had eight shirts wrapped around his upper body. He had two pairs of pants on, one for each leg. He had socks on his ears and arms and he had a pair of briefs on his head. "I do not!" he shot back "no worse than you at least!"
Alanis took one of the shirts off her head and threw it at Zac. "GUYS! I think there's a midnight biker coming! Zac get a pair of underwear ready!" Divia said and they all ran to the bushes.
"Ready, steady.." Alanis whispered to Zac. The biker came into view.
"THROW!"
The guy on the bike was so startled by Alanis just yelling that he almost fell off the bike. The underwear really got him. It hit him straight in the face. He uttered a muffled scream and went into the grass. Alanis, Zac and Divia cracked up laughing. Then an unseen force grabbed them. Alanis screamed, Zac bit and Divia tried clawing.
"Zac! STOP BITING ME OR YOU'RE REALLY IN FOR IT!" they heard a voice say. "Oh shit," Zac muttered and really started trying to get away. "Zac, stop, it's pitiful"
"Taylor! UNTIE ME!" Zac screamed. Taylor laughed evilly. Zac was really worried. Taylor looked insane at the moment. He was walking around in torn boxers and he had stuff on his face. It looked like finger-paint. His hair was standing straight up like some guy who had a bad hair-cut. "You will not be able to sacrifice me to your underwear gods as you are tied to that tree! Ye will fight me to thy's death if thy escape from this tree!"
"Taylor, did you take those pills at the back of the medicine cabinet?"
"Do not question me, young lark! Or I will cut thy head off with a squirrel's ragged tooth!"
"Cause those are really old pills…"
"I told ye to shut ye mouth!"
"And there might be some side-effects to them being out-dated…"
Taylor raised his arms in frustration. "Now I will be forced to kill you! Excuse me, I have to find a squirrel's ragged tooth" he said and trotted off into the darkness of the park.
"Zac, your brother is NUTS!" Divia said with wide eyes. Zac wasn't paying much attention. He was too busy trying to get out of the tangles of sheets and shirts Taylor had used for rope to tie them around a tree. "Help me get out of this. I really doubt Taylor's going to find any squirrel willing enough to go near him, let alone let him do some dental work," Zac said as he struggled with his captor of fabric.
"Here Mr. Squirrel, I have a niiice batch of nuts for you. But you only get them when you come here. Come on Mr. Squirrel. I won't hurt you…" Taylor said and held out a handful of little round rocks. The squirrel sniffed the air. Then it stared at Taylor, sniffed the air again then stared some more. Then suddenly it fluffed up its tail and scurried away. "Dammit!" Taylor yelled and scrambled after the gray animal. He didn't get far. There was a pain in the back of his head that made him gasp out in pain. He uttered a low cry, closed his eyes and fell to the earth. His attacker grinned slightly and threw the gun next to the body on the ground. It didn't matter to him if this boy awoke and took the gun or died while in his abrupt slumber. Even if he did awaken, the job would be over with by then.
