My article about numbers in...

band titles 182

"Blink 182"? "Eiffel 65"? "S Club 7"? Have we lost creativity or are we just running out of band names. What's with the numbers? Are we getting to the point where all we have left are numbers for band titles? Think about it, listening to Carson Daily or whatever going "Our number one song this week is by JKS98A2BF762BF82 With their hit "883H" from their album "72N1". Come on... we have 26 letters in the alphabet, I think for now we have enough combonations of those letter to make decent band titles. It's not that taxing.

Another thing... what exactly does the 182 mean? Are their Blink 1-181's out there (Although I know there's a "Blink".)? Are their 64 other Eiffel bands? Are their 6 other clubs dedicated to the letter "S"? Numbers are Ok... but only if they make sence in the band title. "Nine inch nails" wouldn't sound right if it was just "Inch nails" But "Blink", "Eiffel", and "S Club" all make sence.

The sooner we get over these numbers the better.

Update on Number Bands(03-24-00):
Eiffel 65 is a one hit wonder in the US, still waiting for Canada (Damn MuchMusic), S Club 7 WILL never make it out of Canada and the Fox Family Channel(I still say, just to be funny, to cancel the 700 club, ultra Christians suck!), and Blink 182 is going down slowly. They've ran out of Gimmicks and made a regular song/video, and well, let's just say they were better (Not Good, I just said Better) with the gimmicks than without. IT'S OVER FOR THEM, AND THEY WILL HAVE TO GET REAL JOBS SOON! Oh no! May I suggest, Crack Whore Trainee?

Update (March 15, 2001):
Eiffel 65 is officially gone!!! Horray Horrah. S Club 7 will be gone at the same time BSB and *NSync are, and I underestimated Blink 182. Yes, you heard it here first, I underestimated Blink 182's carreer. When I thought they had no more gimmicks, they came out with another one.
