Down tuned guitar/Vocals/Striker/Stage dives
I'd better get this outta the way first, his side (Parma) just did a double of the Coppa Italia and the UEFA Cup, AND bagged a Champions League spot in the bargain (correction, would have if Rangers didn't beat 'em in the qualifiers), so he's almost certain to be bragging quite a bit until the end of next season, as well as topping up his Roll of Honour tattoo on his arm.
As you might of gathered by now, the dude's Italian, and it gets so bad he won't play a gig if the national side is playing, and he was in France during the first round of the World Cup. If I really get desperate for filler, I'll stick in his diary of events, but don't worry, it probably won't happen. Like the link to a Parma site he wants.
Anyway, time for the man himself. Paolo Armando Di Stephano (AKA PDiS/P Lo) blasted onto this planet in Parma, then moved to Naples (or 'NAPOLI!'-he's rather sensitive about 'proper' spellings), before settling in grand old England.
Anyway, he's the one all the girls like (as I said, Latin), although he hates to disappoint them, he's engaged to long time girlfriend Karen. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE MUSIC, MAN?!! I hear you cry, oh well, I'll move on...
The man himself plays the Korn-esque riffs that underly the main track, whilst pounding around the stage in a Tom Morello fashion. Bit of a bugger if he has to do some of the rappier backing vocals and he's nowhere near a mic, though.
As you might of guessed, he's a bit of a Korn and RATM fan, as well as Deftones, Limp Bizkit, System of a Down and Beastie Boys, although he supports any band from his homeland as much as possible. Talk about being over nationalistic, eh? He even boycotted McDonalds over that Mozzerella McDouble thing...
When not working, playing or slacking, he also partakes in any extreme sport he can, mostly skateboarding, although he nips off to the (Italian-where else?) Alps to snowboard once a year. He even jumps off roofs once in a while if he's bored, once dislocating his shoulder in doing so. Luckily this was pre-WSH, unfortuneatly, he was in my band at the time. Still, we never did anything, so why's it matter?
The contribution he has is writing his parts for each track, as well as writing his own (usually with Jim-Bob), although the only track that he can call his own at the moment is Foco, but as that gets the floor going, is that a bad thing? He also provides entertainment at gigs with his superior stage dives and on stage activity, as well as the time he smashed his guitar up when it was giving feedback only, swearing at it in at least 2 languages.
