Please read the following - they are generally accepted rules when trading recordings with other people around the world. Please note though, that individual traders may have their own personal requirements when trading - always check.


1.  Endeavour to use quality brand name cdr / minidisc / tape / video for recording onto (eg.TDK, Sony, Maxell, BASF, Philips etc).

2.  If recording onto audio tape, use type II high position (chrome/ metal) tape; don't record using high speed dubbing, and ensure that Dolby NR is switched off.

3.  Avoid cutting tracks mid-song.

4.  If recording onto CDR, record in 'disc at once' mode, preferrably at  x1 speed

5.  Include track listings of what you have recorded.

6.  Always use strong, secure packaging (eg. bubble wrap) and ensure the recipient's address is written clearly on the package. ALWAYS ensure you pay sufficient postage for the package to reach it's destination.

7.  Endeavour to despatch recordings promptly. Delays can and do happen - always contact the trader to advise them of the delay.
