This page is one of many on the internet dedicated to Stevie Nicks. This page won't be the best, but hopefully will always strive to shine a positive light on one of the world's most beautiful and gifted songwriters and performers in the world, Miss Stevie Nicks. |

Stevie's career began in a late 60's early 70's with a group called Fritz in which she met longtime boyfriend Lindsey Buckingham. Both Lindsey and Stevie began being pressured to leave the group and find success on their own as a duo. In 1973 they released their first effort the now long out of print sought after album "Buckingham Nicks". At the time of it's release, it failed to attract any attention and was deemed a failure. Although they had a large following in Birmingham, AL. |

On New Year's eve 1974, Mick Fleetwood, after hearing demos of "Frozen Love" from the BN album asked Lindsey and Stevie to join Fleetwood Mac. They decided to join and soon thereafter began their rise to fame. |

Fleetwood Mac released "Fleetwood Mac" in the summer of 1975. "Rhiannon" was the second single off the album and reached the top ten within weeks of it's release. Stevie performed the song onstage to sellout crowds. Her stage persona then began to gain her more attention than the others bandmates sparking hard feelings and jealousy. Stevie never looked back. |

Stevie and Lindsey's relationship fell apart during the months of touring and recording the follow up album. Despite the turmoil and break ups, "Rumours" was released early in 1977. Stevie's "Dreams" again the second single reached number 1 in the summer of 1977. It is still the band's only #1 hit in the U.S. The album was number 1 for a record 32 weeks and is still the fourth best selling album of all time. Stevie was finally famous. |

Then came the ambitious "Tusk". It was released in the fall of 1979 among much anticipation. Stevie's gems included, Sara, Sisters Of The Moon, Storms, and Beautiful Child". Although a creative masterpiece the 2 record set sold only 4 million copies compared to that of "Rumours 17 million, many looked upon the release as a disappointment. The group toured for a solid year and then took a long break. 1980's "Live" captured the best of the tour along with some new songs, including Stevie's "Fireflies". |
