The Toledo Area Humane
Society, founded in 1884 was one of the first humane societies in the
United States. Since then, with the support of our community and it's
volunteers, the Toledo Area Humane Society has grown tremendously!
Our mission is to 'provide leadership to the
community focused on relieving the suffering of, preventing the cruelty
to, and providing for the humane treatment of animals.'
Each animal who comes to the humane society
will recieve the necessary care by its providers. Before arriving with
new loving "parents," each animal will be spayed or neutered,
and vaccinated.
The humane society is a no-kill animal shelter
and every animal will stay at the shelter until a home is found for
it.
All animals are welcome at the Toledo Area Humane
Society. Believe it or not, we have lizards, snakes, rabbits, cats,
dogs, and even chinchillas!
