Chapter 7

Jen woke up the next morning before anyone else. She had had trouble sleeping the night before. She had tried to go back to sleep, but she couldn't.

She got out of her bed and tip-toed over Tasha, Cassy, Ally, Caroline, and Paris before finally reaching her door. She walked down the hall to the living room, flopped into a recliner, and flicked on the television.

"News flash," the reporter said. "Another 'vampire' killing reported this morning. A young man was found dead in his," the reporter ended because Jen flicked off the television.

I wonder if they do......Jen thought, but then scolded herself. Of course vampires didn't exist.

Later that night, Isaac was getting ready for his triple date with Jen, Taylor and Amanda, and Zac and Ally.

He combed his hair into place one final time, sprinkled on a little cologne and picked up his car keys. "Come on, guys," he said as he knocked on their bedroom door.

"Just a minute!" Taylor called.

"Where's Zac?" Isaac hollered.

"In the kitchen," Taylor yelled back.

"Hurry up!" Isaac yelled and walked to the kitchen. "Zac! What are you doing?"

"Eating," Zac replied.

"We're going out for pizza after the movie though," Isaac said.

"I don't want to be hungry during the movie, do I?"

"That's it!" Isaac said. "Whoever isn't in the car in two minutes isn't going to the movie. Period!"

Three minutes later Isaac, Taylor, and Zac were on their way to Jen's house to pick up Jen, Amanda, and Ally.

"How do I look?" Jen asked Ally and Amanda as she spun around.

"Great," Ally and Amanda said together. Jen was wearing a yellow spaghetti-strap dress with white daisies on it. She had a white short-sleeved shirt, unbuttoned, over it to creat a casual look.

"Are you guys almost ready?" Jen asked as she slipped on some white sandals.

"I am," Ally said as she brushed her short, brown hair. Ally was wearing a pair of flare jeans and a light blue baby tee. It was simple, but looked cute on Ally.

"Almost," Amanda said as she pulled her brown hair into a pony tale and applied some lip gloss. Amanda was wearing a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, tucked in. Very casual, but looked good on Amanda.

"Good idea," Jen giggle as she applied some strawberry lip gloss. "Need some, Ally?" Jen asked and winked.

"Not tonight," Ally said, trying to be serious.

"Sure!" Jen said as she clipped her brown hair up in a clip.

"I wonder when they'll," Amanda began, but was interrupted by the ring of the door bell.

"Now," Jen and Ally said together and laughed.

Jen opened the door and saw three very attractive blonde-haired guys on her doorstep. "Whoever is going with you tonight," Jen teased Isaac, "is very lucky."

"No," Isaac said seriously, "I'm very lucky."

Even though they had been together three months, that look Isaac gave Jen still made her heart pound. She smiled shyly at him.

"Come on," Zac said, breaking the ice, "let's go."

The six teenagers walked down the sidewalk and got into Isaac's car. The didn't know that they were being watched.
