Check them out, they are great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!All three of their albums ("Mr. Bungle", "Disco Volante" and "California" are worth buying- each of them totally different to the others............I've seen them live, too.... Fanatastic"!!!
But, of course, no doubt about that, the greatest band is still THE BEATLES.
My favourite is John Lennon.
I love Filmscores.........some composers I like very much are: Danny Elfman (a very good compilation is "music for a darkened theater", Vol. 1&2), his former band he played in is Oingo Boingo.
Peter Thomas is great, too : "Kriminalmusik" , and ,of course, " Raumschiff Orion".
At the moment I listen a lot to the Ween album "12 Golden Country Greats" and my favourite songs on this CD are tracks 7 and 8.
If you like Burt Bacharach then you should listen to the compilation of his songs, played by different musicians, it has been released on John Zorn's label "Zadic Records" (double CD).
I like Super Nintendo Samples very much.....unfortunately I never found a CD of that stuff......but John Zorn's "Cynical History" reminds me a little bit of that. That's a cool album!!!! ..........How about XTC ???????
And, I must admit I'm a great Star Wars fan... "Episode I" was crappy , but the old ones are so cool....... My favourites are Darth Vader and, as I like Alec Guiness, Obi Wan Kenobi. You can imagine how cool it was going to Disneyland and travelling with "Star Tours". ...... By the way, I enjoyed "Space Mountain", too and talking about roller coasters....."Six Flags Magic Mountain" was cool, too............while waiting for the Batman ride listening to Dany Elfman's filmscore.
Can you believe that there is a really good German band????? There is! And they are called Miles.
